About Program
Global Brigades volunteers will have the opportunity to spend a week working alongside our local staff and community members on a health or sustainable development project. Volunteers can choose to participate in any one of the following brigade programs:
+ MEDICAL - run a mobile medical clinic alongside health care professionals
+ PUBLIC HEALTH - construct in-home infrastructure projects to promote healthy households
+ WATER - give a community access to potable water by constructing a clean water system
Global Brigades volunteers will spend a week in rural Nicaragua, contributing to our year-round health and economic development projects. By participating in a Global Brigades programming, volunteers are contributing to large-scale development projects that go far beyond the impact one volunteer can make in a week.
