About Program
As a Site Coordinator with Amped for Education you will be primarily responsible for the day-to-day operations at a learning center that academically supports high school-aged students who attend public schools in the Pantanal community; one of the most poverty-stricken areas in the western hemisphere’s second poorest country.
You will be expected to uphold and model the values set forth by Amped for Education. The organization has worked extensively with the community to determine the best methods of support for its students, and you will work alongside a Nicaraguan to create and administer the curriculum, track attendance, compile data to illustrate their progress over time, and generally work to help students improve academically.
You will also work with Amped for Education Directors to adapt any programming necessary in order to most effectively work with the community.

Location
Nicaragua is a less touristed destination than some of its neighbors like costa rica, Belize, and Guatemala. Because of this, it is a relatively untarnished country with plenty of surfing spots, volcanoes, and divers paradises. Nicaragua is abundant in natural beauty and everything here comes with a smaller price-tag than other Latin American countries.
