About Program
Our 2.5 acres of arboretum is simultaneously an eco-park which provides the Palestinian community with a place to learn about environmentalism. The preservation of Palestine's indigenous trees and plants is necessary in the face of the destructive Israeli occupation. By sustaining our living museum of precious flora and fauna with passionate global actors, we will continue to achieve a place of eco-consciousness for Palestinian families and students.
This is an ongoing call for environmentalists, experts on specific creative eco-projects (i.e. permaculture, upcycling, etc), gardeners, botanists. We encourage students of environmental studies (will look good on your resume!), also people who just love moving rocks and planting trees.
Mashjar Juthour respects the international, cultural and academic boycott of Israel. We expect all of Mashjar Juthour's volunteers will serve exclusively in the Palestinian community during their stay.
