Archaeology

The district of Huayopata belongs to the buffer zone of the archaeological park of Machu Picchu, where archaeological remains are still being investigated. Their proximity to Machu Picchu but relatively uninvestigated state means that there remain many places and ruins to be discovered. We have the agreement with the municipality of Huayopata to support the projects of the Ministry of Culture in the excavations and enhancement of the archaeological remains of the sector. Students or volunteers who want to participate in this project will work together with archaeologists and staff from the ministry of culture. Work on this project requires good physical condition.
