We split our costs into two sections:

Quest Overseas: All logistics and non-project related activities (24hr support, weekend activities etc.)

Quest4Change: All project-based costs (the cost of housing, food, materials, transport between communities). We don't spend 100% of this amount during your stay in Peru. Instead, we use some of this money to contribute to the year around costs of the project. This ensures we have a positive short term AND long term impact with our volunteer groups.

About Program

Join our project team and make a difference in July and August 2022. We help the most vulnerable communities and families in Lima, Peru. The pandemic has hit areas of the world in poverty harder than most. Our project partners and volunteers will assist with emergency housing for families, set up our own food bank and organise sports activities for children left to the streets.

With local staff coordinating this project, it ensures that the hard work our volunteers get up to has the best possible impact.

The Quest Overseas leader helps ensure that we take the time to reflect on the good work we do, make improvements and ensure everyone has fun. When our volunteers are having fun and smiling, it is infectious to everyone else around

You don't need prior construction experience, our local team teaches you everything you need to know. This project is perfect for anyone looking to gain experience working with local communities, construction and social outreach.

This program is currently not being promoted on Go Overseas by its provider. Check with Quest Overseas for the most up-to-date information regarding the status of this program.

Consider your impact: Volunteering abroad can be a rewarding experience for both volunteers and local communities, and at Go Overseas, we believe all volunteers should have the resources to make informed decisions about the type of volunteer project they want to partake in. However, despite best intentions, some organizations offering placements in orphanages may unknowingly place children in danger. You can read about the potential dangers of orphanage volunteering here.
