About Program

This volunteer program is a collaborative effort between two organizations, Phalaborwa Natural Heritage Foundation (PNHF) and Animal Relief for Rural Communities (ARRC). PNHF was founded in 2020 and focuses on local wildlife conservation, through removing poacher's snares in local reserves saving thousands of animals from the most inhumane deaths, other operations include rescues of wild animals that have been snared and relocations of animals that have broken out of reserves.

ARRC was founded in 2021 and focuses on community outreach with dogs and donkeys and education of children in rural communities about animal wellbeing and conservation through weekly educational classes in rural communities about animal, weekly donkey health clinics in the rural community of Selwane, monthly dog and donkey outreach health clinics.

Working together we feel as though we can make a real difference to the wildlife, communities, rural animals and the environment we are surrounded by.
