About Program
Boredom in disadvantaged communities is a big problem, because it often leads to crime, alcoholism and drug use. However, sports is a great way for children to focus their energies and do something that's constructive and uplifting.
The Sports Development Program with DTR allows volunteers to help out with Physical Education lessons during school hours and also extracellularly in after school sporting activities. There will also be the opportunity for volunteers who do sports that the children will not have been exposed to demonstrate their skills.
