About Program
The lodge named Thandolwami Bushlodge is located 30 minutes outside of Hoedspruit town on a 70 hectares property with a variety of plane game such as giraffe, zebra, wildebeest, eland, ostrich, nyala, impala, jackal, duyker and sable. Our horses are running free with the animals over the property. There are stables to feed and tack up the horses. At the moment we have 9 amazing horses, all well trained for the outrides.
Bambelela Horse Safaris offers Volunteer Horse Safari experiences with a minimum stay of 2 weeks. We are welcoming volunteers from age 18+ in small groups of 4-5. You must be an intermediate, experienced or advanced rider. We are not taking beginner or novice riders. Weight limit is 80 kg.
Volunteers are accommodated in the chalets around the lodge. The lodge has a big swimming pool (15x7 meters) with a beautiful view over the mountains and the waterhole for the animals.
