About Program
Prospective Volunteers are invited to join the team at our local boarding kennel on the farm/ smallholding, get down and dirty with all the hounds, and to learn the 'how to' of managing and running a commercial boarding facility. Please also note that we are a private and commercial business and not an animal welfare organisation or NPO.
Successful applicants will experience the joy of meeting and greeting all our new boarders (their owners too), playing with them in the garden, going for walks on the farm/ smallholding, and washing & grooming their new best friends.
Volunteers also learn all about the boarding, administration, health and welfare management of all the pooches and the facility, which includes the cleaning of their living quarters, feeding & weight management, medicine administration, general maintenance and basic obedience training when requested by owners.
