About Program
Zanzibar, the spice island of Tanzania, is known as a bathing and diving paradise. Miles of sandy beaches on the Indian Ocean form the threshold to a species-rich underwater world. On land, too, there is a wide variety of animal species to marvel at in various national parks such as the red colobus monkeys in the Jozani Forest Reserve.
Stone Town is the old town of Zanzibar city. Most of the houses here were built of coral stone and are UNESCO World Heritage Sites. Many local artisans live here. The cultivation of cloves once made Zanzibar rich. Be sure to sample the different flavors of the city.
Our RGV aid projects on Zanzibar support the preservation of the mystical underwater world. We also focus on the care and education of children and adults. If you are interested in medicine, you can also work in a hospital or in obstetrics.
