About Program

If your aim is to make a small difference in someone else's life when in Tanzania and to explore what is the life like on the other side of the world, we might have a right type of project for you! Overall, all of our projects are handpicked and the type in which help is truly needed.

Help is currently needed in the following projects: tutoring in Masomoni Education Center; tutoring in Kilimanjaro Center for Academics; helping out in an orphanage; helping out at the center for blind, deaf and albino African children; helping out at the center for people with mental and physical disabilities; and helping out at the nursery school.

When it comes to the location of the programs, they are all located in Moshi Town in the Kilimanjaro region.

Whilst volunteering through our programs, we welcome any help you can give. Don’t worry if you think you might not have any relevant skills, there are many ways to help and the children will certainly appreciate your efforts and support!

Consider your impact: Volunteering abroad can be a rewarding experience for both volunteers and local communities, and at Go Overseas, we believe all volunteers should have the resources to make informed decisions about the type of volunteer project they want to partake in. However, despite best intentions, some organizations offering placements in orphanages may unknowingly place children in danger. You can read about the potential dangers of orphanage volunteering here.
