Price Details
Our volunteer pay 120€ which is equivalent to 130$ as a registratin fee. A registration fee covers all the preparation work before the volunteer arrives in country including any needed paperwork, airport pick up, airport drop off when returning home, town orientation, project orientation and a small donation to our community projects fund. After that our volunteer will be require to pay 150€ equivalent to 165$ a week for the project placement. This money covers, accommodation, two meals (breakfast and dinner), 24/7 support during your placement and other related costs. Both of the fees don't include, volunteer visa costs and health insurance. You need to consider things like yellow fever vaccination and other kind of test as well

About Program

With this program you will be working with children aged 2-5 in a Daycare Centre. Your day at the Daycare Centre will start as early as 8:30am, where are expected to there and start daily activities. You main work is around teaching basic numbers, letter sounds, tracing numbers, tracing letters and songs. Apart from the forementioned activities you will be are expected to play with the kids and teach them new games and sports. At meal time, you will work with the local teacher to serve food to the children. There will be sometimes when you will be asked to participate in the kitchen, but that is more of an optional activity. Sometimes you will be accompanying the local team to do homevisits to children who attend the Daycare Centre. It is usually a great experience for International volunteers as they get to know what the real African life look like. At the end of your volunteering you get a certificate of acknowledgement from our organization to show our appreciation for your service.

Program Impact

As a responsible volunteer, you can make a lot of impact on the children you are helping. You rise their self-esteeem when you teach them and tell them that they can be anything they want. Also you make them experience empathy, by showing love them they will feel so loved. On top of that you give them new skills, like singing new songs, knowing a new game, counting to a certain number etc. In general the impact of you volunteering with children is a long term impact they will have it for all their life long.
