About Program
The Institute for Environment and Development Sustainability (IEDS) is looking for volunteers from Canada and elsewhere to provide expertise in their areas of competence in terms of Teaching/ lecturing, Research and Advocacy. IEDS focus on Environment and Climate Change including pollution management, EIA, environmental innovations, entrepreneurship, green growth, clean/renewable energy and climate resilience.
IEDS is registered and recognised by the National Council for Technical Education (NACTE) of Tanzania and as a not for profit making Institute, volunteering is an important component in accomplishing its mission. IEDS is also accredited as the observer organisation to the UN Climate Change Convention Secretariat in Bonn, Germany and to the Green Climate Fund Secretariat in Songdo, South Korea.
Volunteers also get the opportunity to visit other parts of Tanzania's unique environment such as Kilimanjaro, Serengeti and Zanzibar ecosystems and beaches.
