Volunteer at Oola Academy in Arusha, Tanzania - Give hope to disenfranchised children

Located in the Arusha Region, northern Tanzania - home to Mount Kilimanjaro, the highest mountain in Africa, and also home to savannal wild animals for safari discoveries:

Oola Academy is an all-inclusive, secular and non-denominational preschool & primary that caters for the educational needs of mostly disenfranchised, orphaned and at risk children 7+ years and younger predominantly from poor backgrounds. Our mission is to make primary education of quality available to all children regardless of the socio-economic status in the community.

From March to May and September to December, we welcome overseas volunteers to our school. Volunteers get assigned teaching roles in subjects ranging from english, science, arts, ICT, music and physical education based on their skills and interests, and needs , but are also expected to pitch in whenever the occasion warrants.

Accommodation and meals are provided to volunteers, so are rare opportunities for cultural tours and safaris
