We have developed an exciting opportunity for students to lead a team overseas to Thailand, India or Sri Lanka in the university summer holidays.
Student Leaders: The Role
VESL are looking for dedicated individuals to lead our six week overseas challenge programme in Asia in June/July / August 2013. The Student Leader will be responsible for helping VESL to organise the programme in the UK (recruit, select, train and prepare students) and manage the programme overseas (alongside our country managers). In exchange for leading the programme, student leaders will get the costs of travelling to Asia paid for. This is a great opportunity for students to volunteer overseas for free, whilst also gaining a management experience that will look great on their C.V.
With support from VESL you will:
• Lead a team of volunteers working on a summer programme.
• Recruit between 6 and eight volunteers into your team.
• Co-ordinate a selection event with VESL staff.
