About Program

Xplore’s Buddhism Immersion Program offers a rare chance to teach English in monastic schools while deeply engaging with Buddhist culture. Volunteers support monks, novice monks, nuns, and underprivileged children, including orphans and migrant youth, by helping them build confidence and communication skills through English. For monks, English opens doors to connect with international visitors and fellow monastics from across Southeast Asia. Teaching takes place in monasteries and monastery-sponsored schools, where your presence creates a lasting impact. Outside the classroom, experience daily life in a spiritual setting: practice guided meditation, attend Dharma talks, learn Buddhist traditions, and witness sacred ceremonies. This is more than a teaching role, it’s a journey of cultural exchange, personal growth, and deep human connection rooted in mutual respect and compassion.
