About Program

This program offers local and international volunteers the opportunity to support climate action and child-focused community development with Front Aid Foundation (FAF), a fully registered NGO in Uganda. Volunteers engage in tree planting, environmental education, early childhood support, and youth empowerment activities while working closely with local communities in Wakiso District.

Volunteers may support one or more of the following activities:
• Tree planting and land restoration initiatives
• Climate and environmental education for children and youth
• Supporting daily activities at Kalule Bwaise Children Shelter
• Assisting at a nearly completed kindergarten school
• Community outreach and youth engagement programs

Roles are flexible and adapted to volunteers’ skills and interests.

Program Location: Kalule, Buwambo – Wakiso District, Uganda

Consider your impact: Volunteering abroad can be a rewarding experience for both volunteers and local communities, and at Go Overseas, we believe all volunteers should have the resources to make informed decisions about the type of volunteer project they want to partake in. However, despite best intentions, some organizations offering placements in orphanages may unknowingly place children in danger. You can read about the potential dangers of orphanage volunteering here.
