About Program

Volunteers supporting children of incarcerated parents in Uganda will provide emotional, educational, and social support to mitigate the trauma of parental separation. Duties include mentorship, tutoring, organizing recreational activities, and providing respite for caregivers, aiming to create safe spaces that foster resilience and positive development.

Our objective is to offer a stable, positive adult influence to children facing emotional, social, or financial hardship due to a parent's imprisonment under our program called "Life of a Prisoner's Child - Uganda".

Activities include Mentorship & Emotional Support, Educational Support, Recreational Activities, Providing Normalcy, and Caregiver Respite.

Program Impact

Our volunteers operate at a hands-on, community-focused level, acting as active participants and catalysts for change rather than mere observers. They work directly alongside local staff and community members to implement projects, providing both physical labor and specialized skills to support local initiatives.
