About Program
Welcome to our exciting off grid road trip across Costa Rica, reaching places, people and wildlife that are way of the backpacking route, allowing you to hit the ground the running and experience local life.
Your journey starts in Quepos, close to Manuel Antonio National Park where you will combine community contribution with jungle adventure - heading into the park to see the wildlife, jungle and dramatic waterfalls.
Next up is a turtle conservation phase at a remote sanctuary - to give you the desert island feeling combined with a spot of surfing and yoga at the beach, before heading into a remote wildlife sanctuary for your third week. Here you will help care and feed the animals whilst helping the local team develop the infastructure. The last phase will be spent in the famous cloud forest of Monteverde - where you will trek, explore and possibly zip wire through the canopy.
So, backpacks at the ready, you are off to embrace the Pura Vida of Costa Rica.

Response from The Leap
Hi Nick,
We are glad to read that 'overall' you had a good time in Cambodia despite your frustration over the team management of the trip. We run the program with the volunteers safety and wellbeing as our main priority. Over the years we have seen some hideous moped accidents, late night drinking which has upset the local community and disjointed logistics which has steered our project leaders to set the parameters you mentioned.
What we have learned, from your helpful feedback, is to up our pre-departure briefing so everyone is better placed to judge if our Leap boundaries are for them.
I thank you for your time to give feedback, which we fully respect and have acted upon.
Wishing you well.
Milly
