About Program
Sky-high cities, bucket-list landmarks and food you'll be thinking about long after you're home - this trip takes you the length of China, south to north, with real, local moments built into every stop. It kicks off in the neon buzz of Hong Kong, then slows right down in Yangshuo, a lesser known pocket of rural China. From there it's the floating peaks of Zhangjiajie, a hotpot feast in the vertical city of Chongqing, pandas in Chengdu, explore the Terracotta Army in Xi'an, a Bund cruise in Shanghai, and a grand finish of dumplings, the Forbidden City and the Great Wall in Beijing.
With a group leader who knows China like the back of their hand and a crew of fellow travellers ready to make memories with you, this trip is waiting for you.
Program Highlights
- Cycle through Yangshuo's paddy fields, then wind down the river on a bamboo raft as the day fades
- Tackle all 999 steps of the Stairway to Heaven before losing yourself among Zhangjiajie's stone pillars, the real-life inspiration behind Avatar
- Explore Chongqing, the mountain-built 5D city, over a hotpot dinner and an after-dark stroll through Hongya Cave
- Stand before Xi'an's Terracotta Army - over 8,000 life-sized soldiers crafted more than two millennia ago
- Ride the cable car up Mutianyu for one of the best views of the Great Wall, then tuck into Peking duck back in Beijing

Impact 🌎
Sustainability
As part of our goal to make a real positive impact to the environment, we partnered with Eden Reforestation Projects in 2019 to plant 10 trees for every booking we received. And as a result we’ve planted tens of thousands of trees, aided reforestation, rehabilitated wildlife and reduced poverty in multiple local communities.
However we wanted to go even further and achieve true sustainability, so in late 2023 we began a new partnership with Path Net Zero to accurately measure our tours emissions, and Veritree to plant trees to offset those emissions.
We are now very proud to say that every INTRO tour is 100% carbon neutral.
