About Program
Combine work and travel in this exciting job placement! At Numadi, we partner with various farm types. This allows us to connect you with farmers across New Zealand who are interested in hiring and teaching eager young farmers. This opportunity lets you experience everything the country has to offer while earning and learning.
Farms in New Zealand are mostly grass based, and the pleasant climate allows animals to graze outdoors throughout the year round. Certain types depend on the region as well, with farms in dryland requiring plenty of irrigation and those in wetter areas posing different challenges.
Depending on the season, you’ll handle 40 to 60 hours each week. You’ll start early, at 4 am, and normally finish around 6pm. The busiest time is from July to September, while generally relaxed months are from June to August.
