About Program

Take your learning to the next level through hands-on projects in this immersive internship experience! GLA's Travel Internships are a great option for students who seek to explore a future career path and and gain a global perspective in their field of interest. Interns collaborate with a global nonprofit or social enterprise and work to complete an internship project through fieldwork, guest speakers and experts. Using the framework of the UN's "Seventeen Sustainable Development Goals" as a learning framework for learning, interns draw connections between their experience and the greater significance of their projects.

All successful Internship program participants earn 60 Internship Hours, receive a letter of recommendation and can earn optional college credit. Complete a final project under the guidance of an internship supervisor and receive feedback that you can carry with you to future projects or endeavors.

Great experience

I am so happy that my daughter and I found GLA. It has helped her grow as a person and a global citizen. I am proud of the person she has developed into. The safety and security that I feel her being there helps me as a parent know she is growing and developing. I have had other parents tell me stories about their children's trips through other programs and I am so happy that my child has gone on GLA.
