Truly sublime

Had an amazing time exploring different cities and learning about the history. Met so many new people, and all the teachers and students were so nice. The trip was full of fun moments, beautiful sights, and new experiences. I’ll always remember the friends I made and the things I learned along the way.It was a trip that opened my eyes to new cultures and ways of life. I hope to travel and explore more places in the future. This experience is something I will treasure forever. It truly was the trip of a lifetime.

Mei Trek Through Europe 2025

This opportunity is such an amazing privilege that any student can get. The friendships and experience that we are able to gain along the way in places that we rarely visit is something you cannot fully capture unless you go try this yourself. The lessons and advice from the teachers are far more valuable then you can imagine. To visit the actually locations where the history is being taught at truly helps us understand the knowledge in a difference perspective on a global scale. Thank you for such an amazing trip this year!

What is your advice to future travelers on this program?
My advice would be to maintain a proper work-life-sleep balance. You should finish your work and quickly and efficiently as possible as soon as you get your assignments so that you maximize your time to enjoy the cities around you. You will thank yourself when you are able to go out shopping or playing around which you see others who are panicking to finish their assignments. Make sure to get enough sleep, stay connected with your friends and take lots of pictures!

Far surpassed expectations

When I chose to go on this trip, I didn't expect much. I had learned about it since both my sisters attended. I expected it just to be more school, with a European coat of paint. But I was proved wrong, it was far more than I ever thought I'd be. I learned a lot on the trip, not just about history or English, but about myself and who I want to be. As well as having tons of fun along the way. We got to see so many cities, so many new cultures, and experience so many new things. An incredible experience, if I can say so.

Mei Trek Through Europe 2 Experience

The trip this year was amazing and arguably easily the best month of my life. I love to travel and mei truly helped with that while also getting school credits. Everything about the trip was good and the teachers and team would definitely be happy to accommodate anyone. The food at every location was so diverse and amazing, the hotels were always nice, clean, and spacious. School work load was just enough to make us feel productive but not overwhelmed. It’s a trip perfect for everyone and anyone in the position to go, should.

If you did this all over again, what's one thing you would change?
Simple answer, I wouldn’t change anything except appreciating it more and soaking in the moment more. Everyone you meet is so nice and easy to get along with here and it’s a shame I didn’t get the most out of every second.

The Sublime Europe

This program was an incredible experience that gave me a glimpse into what university life and gaining independence might be like. At the start of the trip, I felt like I didn’t know anyone but by the end of our 30-day stay, everyone felt like family. I’ve never felt so connected. Saying goodbye might be the hardest part.

Through this program, I learned how to manage my time wisely while still making the most of being in Europe. I also gained a lot of confidence in public speaking. By the end, I felt completely at ease because I knew and trusted my peers so well.

My experience on Mei

I went to MEI this summer and it was the best decision of my life. I met multiple new friends, created great relationships with everyone on the trip, and learned multiple things throughout my trip. Even though it was hard to want to do work every day as it was summer, all of the curriculum that was provided was interesting making us all want to learn and complete the assignments assigned to us. Mei is a great experience that I have recommended to many of my peers and would recommend to anyone. It really was a life-changing experience that I wish I could go back to.

What is your advice to future travelers on this program?
Try and create new realationships with people even if you already have freinds on the trip.
Pros
  • Learning about many European cultures
  • Creating great realationships
Cons
  • Have to learn how to be good time management
  • Being away from home for a long time

Questions & Answers

Many of our programs are based on the Humanities, so related academic work includes becoming an expert and then giving a tour of a famous site, or writing and performing poetry and other creative work. We do have a Biology course that focuses on lab work in Costa Rica and other science-based activities.
