About Program
Are you looking for an enriching cultural adventure through the stunning country of Japan? Our Culture and Adventure project is perfect, taking you through three stunning cities, visiting areas of natural beauty, and directly engaging in the fascinating culture.
Projects Abroad have operated educational travel opportunities since 1992 and we know a thing or two about the transformational power of travel. On this project, you'll experience the perfect mix of cultural immersion, adventure, and learning, returning home with newfound confidence and skillset, including independence, leadership, and intercultural communication, that will set you apart in future applications.
Join up with other teens from around the world and navigate this new culture together, overcoming cultural obstacles with 24/7 support from our staff.

Program Highlights
- Explore the heart of Tokyo, Kyoto, and Osaka, three world-famous cities filled with history and culture
- Immerse in Japan’s culture with fascinating workshops and experiences, learning the Japanese language, practicing calligraphy, and visiting a manga museum
- Enjoy exciting excursions to areas of natural beauty, like the sacred Mount Fuji on the banks of Lake Kawaguchi and Nara Park, where you can feed the bowing deer
- Share the adventure with other teenagers from around the world, navigating Japan’s culture and creating new lifelong friendships and memories
- Travel for two weeks during school vacation
