About Program
A 10-day expedition covering natural, cultural and historical attractions as well as volunteering to support IPBio´s biological field research activities and much more!!
In the Cerrado, IPBio has created a team to explore this unique region known as the “cerrado” or savannah. This region is part of the Serra do Espinhaço Biosphere Reserve, recognized by UNESCO in 2005, in order to conserve this area with high biological, landscape, historical and cultural importance. Our expedition is located in the district of São Gonçalo do Rio das Pedras, in the south of Serra do Espinhaço, State of Minas Gerais.
