You'll need to pay for the flight to Tanzania and living expenses, but living expenses when done through a real internship (and not volunteer programs), will be around $50/week! You'll also need to cover your visa (~$200), but this is a real opportunity to truly work and make a large impact in the developing world.

About Program

The KNCU Health Plan is the only micro-health insurance program like it in the world, attempting to provide quality healthcare access to low-income populations with financial independence. Set in the hills of Mount Kilimanjaro in Moshi, Tanzania, the plan extends to the surrounding regions and covers over 15,000 individuals. We are currently seeking an intern with a clinical background interested in spending a few months with us assisting in claims reviewing and analysis -- current medical school students are welcome.
