About Program
Take part in a one-month global study opportunity offered to both university students and professionals from around the world. Join us and other participants from different nationalities! Experience the emerging East African Social Innovation Space through a hands-on program. You’ll develop an understanding of the functions of a local startup or innovator striving to come up with possible solutions to the challenges within African communities, to raise capital, and to create jobs for people.
The East African Social Innovation Inter-exchange program includes local placements, field trips, workshops, networking, and research project. Local placements involve working with grassroot business owners - such as transport operators, small healthcare centers, and retail shops - operating in urban areas with limited resources and very low capital. You’ll help identify their challenges in day-to-day operations and help create solutions.
