What is your favorite travel memory?
One of my favorite travel memories comes from my university exchange year at Hokkaido University in Sapporo. Being fully immersed in a Japanese city, with no familiar reference points, was both challenging and incredibly enriching. It pushed me to open up to a completely different culture, adapt to new ways of living, and form unforgettable connections with people from all over the world. That experience deeply shaped the way I see travel, learning and cultural exchange.
How have you changed/grown since working for your current company?
Since working for my current company, I’ve grown significantly in confidence—especially in my ability to understand, anticipate and respond to our students’ needs and objectives. I’ve also become much more comfortable with public speaking, whether in lessons, presentations or conversations with partners. This role has helped me trust my instincts, communicate more clearly, and take on responsibilities with greater ease and assurance.
What is the best story you've heard from a return student?
One of the best stories I’ve heard from a returning student comes from a learner who stayed in Brittany with one of our teachers. He told us that, after years of studying French with little opportunity to speak, he arrived feeling nervous and unsure. After just one week of immersion, he gained enough confidence to move from A2 to B1, chat comfortably in shops, and take part in long conversations at home. What stayed with him most, though, was the warmth of the host family—the shared meals, deep discussions, daily life, and even bonding with the family’s animals. For him, it wasn’t just language progress, but a true human and cultural experience.
If you could go on any program that your company offers, which one would you choose and why?
If I could choose one of our programs, I would love to experience an immersion with Marianne in Oloron-Sainte-Marie. The southwest of France is a truly magical region, at the gateway to the Pyrenees, and one I still don’t know well enough—much to my regret. Staying with Marianne would be the perfect way to discover the hidden treasures of this area, through language, culture and daily life. Her approach to teaching, deeply rooted in immersion, conversation and sensory experiences, perfectly reflects what we value most. It would be an ideal blend of learning, exploration and genuine human connection.
What makes your company unique? When were you especially proud of your team?
What makes our company unique is the strength of our small but highly dynamic team. We are all deeply invested in providing the best possible care for our students, and this shared commitment truly unites us. Every day brings new challenges, but also a unique sense of reward. Teaching being at the heart of what we do, we constantly learn, adapt and improve ourselves—and that continuous growth is one of the most enjoyable aspects of the job. I’m especially proud of our reactivity and the genuine care we show our students. Even though much of our work is done remotely, we always manage to humanize and personalize every interaction. That ability to build real, meaningful relationships at a distance is, in my opinion, our greatest strength.
What do you believe to be the biggest factor in being a successful company?
I believe the biggest factor in being a successful company is genuine care—care for the world we operate in, for our customers, our partners and our team. When people feel supported, valued and trusted, their work becomes meaningful. Creating an environment where individuals are nurtured, given room to grow and encouraged to develop their potential is what builds long-term success and strong, sustainable relationships.
