I'm Belgian nationality and I've been going and coming to Thailand in the past 7 years. I've tried to learn this language myself through the books and signed up some hours with Thai teachers on skype, but it didn't go well as I've planned and expected it to be so I decided to search for intensive courses (speaking) during my vacations and this course was recommended by one of his ex-students who has done the course with him before.
I wasn't sure at the beginning but until I've read many positive comments about the teaching methods he uses so I decided to go on and signed up for the last course of 2018.

The whole 2 weeks were absolutely amazing and worth every penny!
What happened in our class was what the school has promised us. Jom started to make us speak and repeat questions, answers, positive sentences and negative sentences on day 1 (there were 8 of us). The teaching methods are unbelievable, it's very simple but effective and at the end of every day, I went back to my hotel with a sore jaw. :-)

He's very informative with a great sense of humour.
I highly recommended the 2 weeks to speak with Jom Nawa.

I’m on Koh Samui now for the past year and opened a bar so decided I should try to learn the local language so went to the mind your language course in bophut. I Just finished my 2 week level 1. Was a great experience, good fun but very intense (hence the name 😂) the students were all nice people who I hope to stay in touch with and Jom is a really cool teacher, very passionate and keen to make sure you understand what you are saying and he always has a laugh and a joke while teaching. The extra thai cooking class was so much fun and got to make thai green curry and kra pow 😁 we all got together for a few drinks on the weekend off and had a great time, looking forward to level 2. Recommend this course to anyone looking to start learning thai 💯

After „2 Weeks To Speak - Intensive Thai Course“ I can say WOW!
I expected a lot, but not this :)
We were a small class of 5 students from Germany, Switzer land, France and US and Jom Nawa, our teacher.
Joms teaching method is perfect to me and I felt every minute that he loves his job.
By his TMC Learning methods he really motivated us to learn and repeat by ourselfes.
After just two weeks our heads are full of Thai Language and Sounds. Even it was hard and brain burning, we learned and spoke Thai so much and laugh everyday by our student Kauderwelsch.
I´m really surprised how much I understand and can speak in normal life Situation after this short course.
I don’t want to miss this 2 amazing weeks and I wish I had language teachers like Jom before.

I have just completed Level 2 with Jom in Samui and I truly enjoyed the experience. Not only the course is very well structured and balanced but it is also designed to allow you to communicate and use the acquired skills quickly and in a very practical way.......
I definitely feel more confortable to use my new vocabulary in every day situations and enjoy the interaction with Thai people.....
Choosing the intensive course is really the right choice for me as it does not give you time to think about what you are learning. It is about using the grammar and new vocabulary immediately......
I did Level 1 before and am really looking forward to joining Level 3 before the end of the year.

I just finished level 2 "2 weeks to speak" and I am very proud to be able to Jom m express correctly in Thai, to have the correct structures that come naturally !!
I did not expect such a result and have as much vocabulary in just 2 weeks!

Je viens de terminer le niveau 2 « de 2 weeks to speak « et je suis très fière de pouvoir grâce à Jom m exprimer correctement en thai , de posséder les structures correctes qui viennent naturellement !!
Je ne m attendais pas à un tel résultat et à posséder autant de vocabulaire en seulement 2 semaines!
Jom est un professeur extraordinaire qui a vraiment le don d enseigner , c est un passionné qui nous donne l envie d apprendre..... dans une ambiance tellement agréable !!

Just finished 2nd Level of 2 weeks to Speak Intensive Thai Language.
I am amazed by the abbility I have now to build phrases in Thai, to communicate with Thai people. Now I need Level 3 ASAP!!!
Khruu Jom Nawa, again, was at his highest (as usual) levels of teaching, he must be the best in Thailand.
This level seemed easier, probably because I have a baggage of vocabulary from the previous course. And the time flew very fast!
Anyway, at the beginning of level 2, I have encountered difficulties in creating phrases because I didn't prepare myself (or didn't do my homework...). But as soon as I reviewed all I have been taught, my brain started working. Deffinitely one must learn by heart all the new words. Then, you can play on building phrases. Helps a lot to understand the grammar that was 80% applied in this level.
I just need Level 3.

They only question I had after completing the intensive Thai course level 1, was ‘When can I start with level 2’?

My personal objective was to learn the basics of the Thai language within a relatively short period, preferably in a friendly/ relaxing environment. After the first conversation I had with the Head Teacher Jom Nawa I already knew this was the right guy to teach me the Thai language.

I’d like to describe Jom as a real professional - dedicated, experienced, passionate, friendly and humorous. The type of teacher who makes you feel welcome from the very first lesson. But even more important - the best teacher/ coach you can find, if you want to learn the Thai language within a short time frame!!

The classroom for this occasion was on the premises of Elysia Boutique Resort, in Fisherman's Village, Bophut in Samui. The right accommodation and a relaxing stay at the resort, with very friendly staff. The perfect environment for an intens(iv)e - almost drilling way - of learning a new language!!

About the teaching method - Jom is using the ‘T.M.C. Method’ during his courses. Transformation (reversing sentence structure), Muscle memory (repetition) and Combination (creating meaningful paragrahs). ‘REPEATING’ is the magic word!! ‘Muscle Memory’ - Repeating words and phrases to train your brain AND all the muscles you need to learn a tonal language!! An advantage was the small size of the group. Perfect for interaction, practicing and personal attention, if needed.

In 2 weeks time (5 hours a day), I have learned more than I could have ever imagined!! Just some examples of the training contents: Greetings, introducing yourself, ordering food & drinks, numbers, asking for directions, bargaining, taking taxis & buses, days/ dates/ times. Real life situations and examples, supported by well-structured, easy to use handouts.

Amazing! After just a couple of lessons I was able to order some food and drinks in a local restaurant and recently I even started to understand (parts of) conversations between Thais in restaurants and at the airport! A great learning experience - not only resulting in ‘muscle memory’’ during conversations in Thai language, but Jom also added aspects of the Thai culture to his lessons. The course included even a cooking course on Friday evening after the first week. Variety and good for the team spirit!!

In conclusion - with Jom’s professionalism and energy, the T.M.C learning method and the motivating environment, they’ve created the perfect mix to learn a new language!! I can recommend this great course to everyone who is planning to spend some time in Thailand. Actually some of my friends from the Netherlands already have started to check options, after I told them about this course!!

Can’t wait to start with Level 2 at short notice. Also curious about the proposed location near the Khao Yai National Park!!

Can you imagine yourself being able to speak Thai (or any other Asian language) after ONLY 2 weeks? Impossible, huh? But I CAN speak Thai now! And my colleagues too. I needed only 2 weeks intenssive course. Before the course started I thought would be hard, but it wasn't. Thanks to our great Thai teacher, Khun Jom! His teaching was very clear, deeply organised in initianting us the easiest way to learn Thai. He has advanced skills to see every student's level and correct each one of them wherever they need. He really is a coach for our "Muscle Memory"! Looking forward now for Level 2!! Thanks to Khun Jom, to Mind Your Language School and to organisers! Jeuh gan na kha

Mind Your Language Koh Samui är en jätte bra skola, som verkligen bryr sig om sina elever och vill verkligen lära oss att prata thailändska. Alltid jättesnälla lärare som är glada, roliga, och possitiva. Jom & Chiida är toppen! Snällare människor får man leta efter. Man känner sig alltid så välkommen till skolan, Chida och Jom är så hjälpsamma.

The school is great. I'm on a ED visa and am taking 8 hours of Thai language classes a week for the next year. The Administrator and Coordinator, Jom and Sharon, went the extra mile to help me acquire the original visa and getting each visa extension so I never had to worry about it. My Thai Speaking teacher, Cheeda, is very helpful and patient with everyone in the class. Not all students are going to learn at the same pace and Cheeda works well with everyone. My Reading and Writing Thai class was very intimidating at first and it seemed I would never be able to learn it. However, as time past I found that repeated reenforcement of the rules just sunk in without me knowing it. I have to thank my amazing teacher Bonus for being patient with me and answering all my questions. I would definitely recommend Mind Your Language School to anyone.
