Joining Gotoco 2-week TEFL course in Thailand was an amazing, well-rounded experience that perfectly balanced work, study, and cultural immersion. It was a fantastic opportunity to meet incredible people, explore beautiful places, try amazing food, find out more about Thai culture and history and learn more about myself along the way. It even made me seriously consider teaching English abroad in the future, especially at summer schools. Meeting and working with the Thai teachers and the pupils was extremely rewarding.

I had an amazing 3 months in Vietnam. I lived with a host family and worked at the hosts English centre which was close to the school. I felt really welcome and enjoyed teaching and playing games with the kids and being able to immerse myself in a new, unfamiliar culture and being able to live in a community and live differently to how I normally would. I also went on lots of weekend trips and saw so many incredible parts of Vietnam, in Ninh Binh, Hanoi, Cao bang, etc. I’d recommend it for people who want to live/teach abroad and travel but are nervous about going alone or don’t know how to organise something like this

My time with gotoco in Thailand was unforgettable. It was packed with activities for us on our time off from teaching and teaching was also very fun and a great experience as we got to know the local children and play fun games. I enjoyed connecting with different people and experiencing the Thai culture from locals and trying different cuisines was also one of my favourite things about this experience. I also enjoyed the free time we got and I liked exploring the rural area as well as the breathtaking temples. I highly recommend this program!

I had an amazing experience in Thailand and would definitely give the trip five stars. The programme offered a great balance between teaching, experiencing Thai culture and having the opportunity to explore such a beautiful country. Everyone involved was welcoming, friendly and supportive throughout, which made the experience even more enjoyable. I made some unforgettable memories, met incredible people from different backgrounds and learned so much during my time there. I would highly recommend this programme to anyone considering it, and I’m extremely glad I decided to take part!

This summer I took part in Gotoco's TEFL programme in Vietnam. The TEFL course was a great as we had the opportunity to teach multiple different primary school age groups throughout the 3 weeks. We were also given classes in how to teach by our coordinators which really helped and prepared us for when we were actually in the classrooms. The living conditions of the programme itself were great; the house was really lovely, the food prepared for us and it was also really nice to explore Da Nang and get to know the other participants. We also had excursions and cultural activities led by the coordinators which was also a highlight of the experience.

I would throughly recommend this programme!! A once in a lifetime opporunity with so many memories made. I taught in a school in Hunan to around 12-13 year olds and despite me never having never taught before and a language barrier it was really rewarding and I felt supported throughout. A very supportive and understanding team behind the scenes - great when your on the other side of the world

As a graduate most others on the programme were also students, a really great group to get along with. A good amount of free time to go explore the local food, connect with locals and just immerse yourself fully.

I had the best time of my life this summer travelling Vietnam and teaching English. I have never done anything like this before . I was nervous about travelling solo, but doing the gotoco programme allowed me to meet so many new people (who I have stayed in contact with), and try loads of new experiences that I wouldn’t have been able to do otherwise. It is a great way to fully immerse yourself in Vietnamese culture. I even got to go to an engagement party with my host family. It was so good and an experience I will never forget!

From a wonderful team and great people, to a new experience and the opportunity to explore Thailand and its culture, this was such an amazing programme. Although it was only a 2 week programme, I’m so glad that I came. I learned so much and met so many amazing people. Before I went I didn’t expect there to be so many cultural activities planned for us which was a really nice surprise. We learned how to make traditional Thai desserts and dishes, visited many temples and got to see so much more during our free time :)
I would recommend Gotoco to anyone who wants to try something new, meet new people, experience a different culture, and see what teaching English abroad is like.

I was able to go to Vietnam for 3 1/2 weeks with Gotoco teaching English to preschool students, and it was such a beautiful experience. Alongside this, we had multiple cultural experiences/excursions. The excursions were genuinely good and were definitely major highlights of the trip. This was an eye-opening and cool experience that I believe every student/young person should experience at least once.
With the schedule we had, my friends (who I made in the group) and I were able to go out and do our own thing, whether it was after the school day or on the weekend.

I spent most of August 2026 on the programme and from beginning to end it was amazing! I loved meeting people from all different backgrounds and it really helped me to improve my confidence in travelling solo. It was amazing experiencing a different culture and having the chance to have insight into the education system in Vietnam.

As well as being educational it also gave me the opportunity to explore Da Nang and Hoi An, visiting many different places both as a group and solo. I would definitely do another GoToGo programme in the future!!!
