If you are just a bit sick of the mundanity of everyday life at home then you've just found your ticket out. There are so many people to meet, foods to try, sights to see and you're on the precipice of it all. I gained a highly credited TESOL teaching certificate that gave me the opportunity and confidence to live and travel abroad. The GOTOCO staff were with me every step of the way and were always a message away. I would recommend this experience to any and all young people who are looking for an adventure.

The one-year program with GoToCo has been such a fun and rewarding experience, one which I would recommend to anyone with a keen sense of adventure, a desire to work hard and embrace new opportunities, and learn about a new culture. GoToCo have provided me with a fully funded TrinityTESOL certificate, return flights from Thailand/UK, paid travel in Thailand including food budget, accommodation and excursions, ongoing group social events and meet-ups, and a great teaching placement in my preferred choice of Bangkok. On top of this, the amazing directors and staff have been with me every step of the way, making themselves available and contactable with any questions or queries I have had, and have done so with a commitment to making sure you have the best possible time and experience as possible. The GoToCo team truly go above and beyond to ensure cohorts are happy, and they do with sincerity and a willingness to help. This starts from before you have even left the UK, as the directors take time to explain the program to you, from application to end date, via phone calls, emails and Zoom calls with your fellow cohorts. This ensures you feel really prepared and super excited before leaving for the program. The travel experience was great fun, we learnt so much about the culture, and saw incredible scenery and places in Thailand, including cities, islands, beaches and national parks. And the Trinity TESOL training was so interesting and the opportunity to gain real teaching practice before starting our school placements proved to be very valuable and helpful. And GoToCo did a great job of helping to organise our school placements, and I was lucky enough to get placed as a Kindergarten Homeroom Teacher at a bilingual private school in north Bangkok, thanks to the hard work of Richard, a GoToCo director. I have had an amazing and rewarding time here in Thailand, and it is all thanks to the dedication, professionalism and hard work of the GoToCo team. What are you waiting for? Everything was completely streamlined, there was constant communication from the staff regarding every stage from beginning to end. Accommodation choices showed us a variety of life-styles in Thailand, from high end hotels to backpacking hostels.

I would never have stepped out of my comfort zone and experienced some of the things they encouraged us to do. We went island hopping on Thai longboats, explored caves in a rainforest national park, and even backpacked in small groups from the South of Thailand to the North.

All while getting qualified as an English teacher!

I joined a great group of people with Gotoco. All the Gotoco team were very supportive and made sure we had a fun, safe time throughout the whole process. We had many interesting experiences, with all essentials (meals, travel and accomodation) covered by the funding. Overall, a fantastic experience and I'd encourage anyone else to take advantage of one of Gotoco's generous programmes.

Had a great time with gotoco with a partnership organisation abroad and felt like I came back as a different person. It's a great life experience, opportunity to see the world and talk to people you wouldn't have met otherwise with some support and guidance from the organisation. It really helped me develop more people skills and I met some really interesting people along the way - I would 100% recommend as long as you're willing to put in some hours and be around people pretty much constantly.

This was such an amazing experience! It's a great way to see more of the world and the funding makes so much possible. The teaching is extremely rewarding and provides you with loads of transferable skills alongside teaching, like confidence and independence. It was the first time I had been on a long hall flight, and my first time outside Europe. There's also loads of time to explore and travel in your own time, with some great trips planned for you. Everyone was so nice and supportive and this is a great way to spend the summer!

I went to Thailand funded by Gotoco for six weeks this summer and it was such a special
and happy time. The people in my group were so lovely and I continue to stay close with
them all even back at different unis. One of the most special things about the programme
though was the students we taught, their joy in learning desire to understand different topics
was heartwarming and created special moments that I won't forget anytime soon. I also went with a friend through the Gotoco programme where you can apply together which was such a good idea and meant we built on our friendship and the overall experience. I couldn't
recommend this programme enough!!

From start to finish, we were looked after thoroughly. The teaching experience was incredible and something I will remember forever and the people in our group and who we met were lovely. We also were taken on some unbelievable excursion's in our days off - which really helped people to settle in Thailand. I loved our Thai language and cooking lessons.

One of first nights as a group we went out on a boat trip down the river in Bangkok, then came back and had lovely food and played pool - what a night.

Going to Thailand with Gotoco made this summer one of the most memorable times of my life. Teaching in a small school in the middle of rural Thailand was way out of my comfort zone, and everyday kept my mind full and my heart warm. Additionally, the experience as a whole contributed to a real boost to my confidence, especially travelling so far (Thailand), with no one I knew, and as a 19 year old first year. The constant group settings helped tremendously with any challenge I faced and the community we had was something I was not expecting to be this strong. I made such good friends with people from the programme and outside, and I also took the days off to travel to the south of Thailand's beaches, with my roommate from the programme, which ended up being the single greatest trip of my life. I'm extremely content that this trip got to be both a great skill-building experience that can contribute to my resume, as well as an unforgettable soul-shaping adventure.

I had the most amazing time being based in the heart of Phuket. The beautiful scenery and opportunity to immerse myself in the culture of Thailand enabled me to develop a true sense of independence and to open myself up to meet many new people. The teaching experience was also incredible, the school and students were beautiful. Although naturally moving to a new country on your own for over a month is very challenging, the number of skills I gained from it was unsurmountable. Would definitely recommend for anyone looking for a personal and skills-based challenge.
