YOU HAVE TO DO IT !!!!! THE BEST COURSE EVER!!!!! JOY, HAPPINESS. THE BEST!!1 DO IT !!!!

The best course I’ve ever taken. I am so happy, and I know that if anyone takes this course, they will be happy too. Besides, it also gives us another job opportunity. We have the chance to learn more and more. I’ve been speaking English for 10 years, and for the first time I decided to take a course to get a diploma, and I’m so happy. I feel very fulfilled and grateful for this opportunity. I loved the platform, both the study area and the access, and I also loved all the resources we have available. May God bless everyone behind this project, and my wish is that people can feel what I am feeling right now: HAPPINESS, COMPLETENESS, PLEASURE, and PASSION for the teaching career. I am so happy… I learned a lot with this course… I loved it so much, I highly recommend it, and I will recommend it to everyone! Everyone should take it! Happiness overflows!

If you did this all over again, what's one thing you would change?
“I think that if I could change something, I wouldn’t change it, I would only add to it. I would add a section for an online community where everyone who is learning could have the chance to share their doubts, dreams, and learning experiences, as well as to get to know each other. After all, they will have many things in common, such as wanting to teach, loving to travel, and taking the same course. I think it would be a unique opportunity.”

TEFL/TESOL certification program; a true game changer

The TEFL/TESOL certification program held by the online organization "World TESOL Academy" has been a true game changer, since it helped me to be more aware of many different teaching techniques and methodologies that I did not know about. Even though this course is fully packed with many resources and very understandable content, in my experience I noticed a few missing things during my study.

My first expectations about the course were corrected, since it demonstrated to me that ESL teaching is not only games or to make your students understand a grammatical topic, but also a series of planning and multiple key aspects that must be taken into consideration when planning these activities.

However, during my study in module 6, I noticed that the topic, regarding the implementation of different techniques to solve students disruption in the classroom, was lacking important details that I think it must be mention, for example: i think it will be a great idea to include or to have a small section were many ESL teachers from specific groups (elementary, junior high, senior and adults) can discuss about their experiences and approaches that helped them to solve class interruption, since it can be different in the elementary level rather than the senior or the adult one.

To sum up, if you are looking forward to enhancing your English teaching skills after or before embarking in your ESL trip, I highly recommend you this website, it is a lot cheaper than other websites, the attention presented by the tutors were amazing and the opportunity to study at any time and place makes this course a lot better.

What would you improve about this program?
More information about different approaches to solve students' behaviour in the classroom.
Pros
  • Great for studing at any time or place
  • Esay to understand the content
  • Great implementation of different examples
What other participants should know
  • Lack of information regarding to more appraoches about solving students behaviour.
  • Technical mistakes, sometimes I was logged out for no reason.
  • Sometimes it did not save my progress, so I had to always check my progress bar.

TEFL English Course Review

I recently completed my TEFL English course, and it has been such a valuable and rewarding experience. The course was well-structured, easy to follow, and covered all the key aspects of teaching English as a foreign language. I especially appreciated the focus on practical teaching methods, lesson planning, and classroom management, which gave me the confidence to apply what I’ve learned in real teaching situations.

The materials were clear and engaging, and the support from the tutors was excellent. I also found the assessments and activities helpful in strengthening my understanding and allowing me to put theory into practice.

Overall, this course has equipped me with the knowledge, skills, and confidence I need to start my TEFL journey. I would highly recommend it to anyone looking to teach English, whether abroad or online.

Teach English Worldwide

A well-structured course for beginners like me who come from a corporate world and never taught English. It starts with essential theoretical background of the English language starting with kinds of words and their construction, sentence construction, punctuation, tenses, inter alia, other topics, and then moves on to equip you with tools for lesson planning and managing classroom. Video illustrations in the course though useful, need some improvement in their sound quality. Overall, an excellent would be English teacher-centric course.

What was your funniest moment?
Watching video clip illustrating managing young learners without showing irritation or annoyance by the teacher.
Pros
  • Freedom to learn at your own pace.
  • Highly economical.
What other participants should know
  • There's no hands on teaching practice.

Straightforward & Enjoyable course

Really enjoyed this course, it covers everything you need to know in order to start your teaching journey. The videos of actual teachers in class were incredibly helpful demonstrations of the concepts learned. As a visual learner, I really appreciate being able to see how to deploy the techniques I was learning about (& the kids are cute!). The quizzes are a great way to ensure you have no knowledge gaps after each module. Did not feel any need to reach out to the team for support, as the site & the course layout are so easy to navigate - shoutout to their UX/UI designers! Thank you World TESOL.

My TESOL Journey: Insights and Aspirations

Studying for the TESOL International English Certificate was far more than just prepping for an exam—it was an eye-opening journey that reshaped how I see English teaching, turning vague ideas about “helping others learn” into a structured, student-centered approach. Before starting the program, I’d worried most about memorizing grammar rules or textbook theories, but what surprised me most was its laser focus on practical strategies—ones I could actually use the moment I stepped into a classroom. For example, we spent a whole module on adapting lessons for diverse learners: I learned to tweak a basic vocabulary activity (teaching “daily routines”) into three versions—one with picture cards for visual learners, one with a short audio story for auditory learners, and one with a role-play game for kinesthetic learners. That small exercise made me realize teaching isn’t about “one-size-fits-all” plans, but about meeting students where they are—and that’s a lesson no textbook alone could have taught me.

Another highlight was the mini-lesson practice we did mid-course. I had to design a 10-minute lesson on present continuous tense for beginner adults, then teach it to my classmates (who pretended to be students). I stumbled at first—forgetting to use real-life examples until my instructor pointed out that adults learn best when they see how language connects to their lives. After adjusting, I used phrases like “I’m talking to you” or “We’re practicing grammar” to make the tense concrete, and suddenly, my “students” started engaging more. That moment didn’t just boost my confidence; it showed me the power of TESOL’s “learn-by-doing” philosophy—something that made the course uniquely valuable compared to other certification programs I’d considered.

Now that I’ve finished the program, I’m eager to apply these skills in real classrooms. I hope to teach adult ESL learners, many of whom are studying English to advance their careers, and I’m excited to use the TESOL strategies to make lessons relevant to their goals—like designing a “job interview dialogue” lesson or a “writing professional emails” workshop. At the same time, I’m curious about how these methods will adapt to different contexts: Will the differentiation techniques work as well for a class of mixed-proficiency students? How can I adjust cultural references (like using examples from my own culture) to be more inclusive for international learners? These questions don’t feel like obstacles—they feel like part of the next chapter of my TESOL journey, and I can’t wait to explore them as I start teaching.

What was your funniest moment?
During a TESOL lesson planning activity, we were tasked with creating a game to teach phrasal verbs. I decided to make a "Phrasal Verb Charades" game. When it was my turn to demonstrate, I drew "look up" and started mimicking looking up at the sky. But my partner, misinterpreting, shouted "look for"! The whole class burst into laughter as we realized the mix - up. Then, to clarify, I dramatically pretended to use a dictionary to "look up" a word, and everyone cheered when they finally got it. That moment, with all the laughter and the sudden understanding, made learning phrasal verbs feel so playful and memorable.
Pros
  • The program offers highly practical teaching strategies. It focuses on real - classroom applications, such as how to adapt lessons for students with different proficiency levels and learning styles, which is extremely valuable for future teaching.
  • The interactive learning environment is a big plus. Group activities, discussions, and peer feedback allow for the exchange of diverse teaching ideas and experiences, enhancing the learning experience.
  • The assessment methods, including designing and delivering mini - lessons, help build confidence in actual teaching scenarios and provide a comprehensive understanding of effective teaching practices.
What other participants should know
  • The program’s pacing felt uneven at times—some modules on theoretical concepts (like educational psychology basics) moved too slowly, while more hands-on topics (such as advanced classroom management) were covered so quickly I struggled to fully absorb th
  • Access to the program’s online resources was inconsistent. There were days when the learning platform crashed briefly, and some supplementary materials (like sample lesson plans for specific age groups) were only available in limited formats, making it ha
  • Peer feedback during group activities was occasionally unhelpful. A few classmates focused more on general praise than constructive suggestions, which meant I had to rely heavily on the instructor for specific feedback to improve my lesson designs.

Useful!

Has a bunch of interesting topics, I think it might be better if lessons would be a little more shorter. It has many topics ans stages to think about before starting to teach english. If you have a specific schedule to progress this course it might be easier. Plus, there are lessons thst are simple and relaxing to take, so that it motivates you to advance more lessons until you find a thought one. Also, contains interesting videos to make a complete experience for anyone who is trying to improve their english skills.
