Okay, so the course itself is fantastic, but we need to talk about the AI integration on the learning platform. As someone who struggles with creative lesson ideas, this was my FAVE feature. You can input the topic, student age, and language level, and it generates a bunch of activity suggestions and even helps structure the lesson plan. It's not a cheat sheet; it's a tool that sparks creativity. My tutor, Laura, still provided the critical human feedback, but the AI helped me get over that initial writer's block. So cool!

The comprehensive nature of this Level 5 course is its biggest strength. It covers everything from the nuances of English grammar to cultural sensitivity in the classroom. My tutor, Jenny, had a knack for explaining complex topics in a simple way.

Her feedback on my assignments was always insightful and pushed me to refine my lesson plans.

I’m now working through the job placement assistance, and the support continues to be excellent. You can tell the entire program is designed by people with decades of experience.

I’d looked at a few other TEFL courses before this one, but they seemed a bit thin on content. The TEFL Institute’s Level 5 is the real deal. In my experience, the modules are incredibly detailed, especially the ones on teaching grammar to young learners.

I want to thank Jenny in particular for being very helpful when I was getting towards the end of my course. Marking was done fast, and I eventually have my certificate. Additionally, I like that additional courses can be included, bundled as I chose to do. Marking was faster than expected, which was a nice surprise.

She didn't just send a generic list of job sites; she became my personal recruitment advisor. We had a call where she went through my CV line by line, tailoring it for the competitive TEFL market in Japan.

Support was there throughout, either by phone or e-mail, and the response was very good in terms of real-time and help. Technological issues were explained, and after some initial struggle, I was able to make faster, more enjoyable progress. In particular, Anya, Laura, and Jenny were very helpful and gave guidance and support around working issues and quizzes, and assessment advice. Regarding the latter, I was worried over the referencing format required, having not studied for some time previously, though I was informed promptly and accurately, allowing me to continue.

You might think the support ends when you get your certificate, but it doesn't. I graduated three months ago and just had a question about adapting my CV for the Middle Eastern market. I reached out to Jess in the employability office, and she got back to me the next day with specific advice and resources. After completing the 120-hour TEFL course with TEFL Ireland, I headed to Hanoi with 19 strangers for our orientation. At the time, it felt crazy and daunting but from the moment we landed we were so well taken care of and the support both on the ground in Vietnam and online from the TEFL Institute was fantastic. Olivia was particularly helpful and always replied super fast.

I have since decided to continue working as a teacher in Vietnam as a result of this experience. Everyone in our group had never visited Asia and nobody had teaching experience so it is perfect for someone looking for a fresh start and an adventure. The only thing to be aware of is that it will be a totally different lifestyle. The structure of daily life, the language, food, traffic etc may feel like a lot at first, but it is so amazing and its all part of the stories that you'll carry with you afterwards. I recommend this program to anyone. I certainly have no regrets.

As an American, navigating the TEFL world can be confusing with all the different accreditations. I chose this Level 5 course because it's endorsed by DEAC in the US and is also Level 5 regulated in the UK. This dual recognition is a huge advantage. When I applied for jobs in South Korea, employers were impressed. The course content on teaching English to speakers of other languages was directly applicable to the Asian context.
