Support was there throughout, either by phone or e-mail, and the response was very good in terms of real-time and help. Technological issues were explained, and after some initial struggle, I was able to make faster, more enjoyable progress. In particular, Anya, Laura, and Jenny were very helpful and gave guidance and support around working issues and quizzes, and assessment advice. Regarding the latter, I was worried over the referencing format required, having not studied for some time previously, though I was informed promptly and accurately, allowing me to continue.

You might think the support ends when you get your certificate, but it doesn't. I graduated three months ago and just had a question about adapting my CV for the Middle Eastern market. I reached out to Jess in the employability office, and she got back to me the next day with specific advice and resources. Knowing that I have access to that expert guidance even after I've finished the course is amazing. It shows they are truly invested in the long-term careers of their students. Thanks!

After completing the 120-hour TEFL course with TEFL Ireland, I headed to Hanoi with 19 strangers for our orientation. At the time, it felt crazy and daunting but from the moment we landed we were so well taken care of and the support both on the ground in Vietnam and online from the TEFL Institute was fantastic. Olivia was particularly helpful and always replied super fast.

I have since decided to continue working as a teacher in Vietnam as a result of this experience. Everyone in our group had never visited Asia and nobody had teaching experience so it is perfect for someone looking for a fresh start and an adventure. The only thing to be aware of is that it will be a totally different lifestyle. The structure of daily life, the language, food, traffic etc may feel like a lot at first, but it is so amazing and its all part of the stories that you'll carry with you afterwards. I recommend this program to anyone. I certainly have no regrets.

As an American, navigating the TEFL world can be confusing with all the different accreditations. I chose this Level 5 course because it's endorsed by DEAC in the US and is also Level 5 regulated in the UK. This dual recognition is a huge advantage. When I applied for jobs in South Korea, employers were impressed. The course content on teaching English to speakers of other languages was directly applicable to the Asian context. I needed a TEFL course that I could fit around my two jobs, and this was it. The learning platform is brilliant – so easy to log in, see your progress, and pick up right where you left off.

There were no strict deadlines for assignments, which took a huge amount of pressure off. I could spend a whole weekend on one module or just do 30 minutes on a weeknight. Despite the flexibility, the course never felt isolating.

My TEFL tutor was always just a message away. It’s the perfect blend of self-paced study and expert support. Awesome!

The Level 5 Diploma is incredibly thorough, and I have no doubt it has prepared me for teaching. The accreditation from Highfield Qualifications was a big draw. However, I found the amount of information in some of the later modules a bit overwhelming. The pacing is up to you, but if you're trying to get it done quickly alongside other commitments, it can be intense. The tutor support was great, but maybe breaking down some of the bigger units into smaller chunks would help. Overall, a very positive and valuable experience.
