I just finished up the Level 5 TEFL Diploma from The TEFL Institute, and I liked it. The lessons cover all the basics you need: grammar, lesson planning, and managing a classroom, all in a straightforward way that’s easy to follow and useful.

The tutors deserve a mention, they’re friendly and always there if you’ve got questions or get stuck. It takes a lot of the stress out of studying. Navigating the platform is simple, too; you can track your progress without any hassle and easily find everything you need.

The self-paced style worked great for me. You can fit the coursework around your other commitments, study after work, on weekends, or whenever you have some free time.

If you’re considering teaching English and want a practical course that offers helpful support and is easy to follow, this diploma is a solid choice.

I am thoroughly pleased with the services provided by the TEFL Institute and would highly recommend the 180-hour course. I am currently in the process of setting up interviews with several ESL institutes in China. Each school has expressed satisfaction with the amount of experience the 180-hour course provides. The course is well-structured and is very flexible in terms of study pace. I completed my course in a few months, so I think the 6-month study time is more than adequate. The only downside I can think of is that the course does not include a live-teaching session, though I recognise that this may be a logistical impossibility.

Honestly, the entire process was highly efficient, and it's clear that they invested considerable effort in creating high-quality content for those seeking to get their TEFL certificate.

I enjoyed dealing with the staff here. Killian went out of his way and was a great help, advising me on which course I needed to take to teach in Italy. The course was solid and did challenge me, but I learnt so much about teaching.

They have a recruitment area that helped me put my cover letter and CV together, which was a great help. I'm now teaching at Berlitz in Milan. I would highly recommend that anyone considering teaching English give it a try; it's a great way to visit different countries.
