Authentic recruiter

Brad’s an awesome guy. I’m really grateful that he gave me options that really suited my needs. I worked with many different recruiters but Brad really looked out for me and helped me way more than the others did. Even after the hiring, he was there whenever I needed help. He especially was helpful because I came with my spouse. He is a great communicator. Him and his wife Yumi are helpful, kind, funny and genuine. While there are a million recruiters out there, I think you’ll find that Brad is a one of a kind recruiter who will always have your back.

What was the most nerve-racking moment and how did you overcome it?
The visa situation but Brad really helped me out.

Great experience

Bradley was super helpful with all the steps of the process, no request was too big of an ask and he was very patient and understanding, highly recommend! I’m now 2 months into my job in Seoul, South Korea and I am very happy with my selection. I am now placed in a school fairly central in Seoul and I am enjoying the location, which is a blend of mixing with the locals, whilst also being local to foreigner friendly areas. I would recommend using this service to anyone who is looking for a approachable, friendly and knowledgable recruiter.

Cheers to Meeting new people

This program has given me the opportunity to meet new people from all over the world in the best way possible. I have met amazing co-teachers that make learning so much more fun and impactful than what I could have imagined. Everyday is a new day and a new way to make a difference. I am also learning from my students as well. Just because you’re the adult doesn’t mean you can’t learn from someone younger and thus I am still learning. And hope that by the time I leave that I learn the a lot about the culture and the language.

Greetings from Incheon, Korea!

I love Incheon. It’s a beautiful city! Thanks for everything, Bradley! He’s a very helpful recruiter and he’s also available for any assistance throughout the process. His website (Teach English in Korea) is extremely thorough and updated as conditions arise. There were a lot of unknowns, but they were guided better with his help. I appreciate that he also does a networking event. I have met so many great people in Itaewon (Seoul) through this event. Thank you for giving us this opportunity!!!!!

Great Year in Korea

I have always had a deep passion for teaching. It’s more than just a profession to me—it’s a calling that brings me a great sense of purpose and fulfillment. Being in a position where I can help others learn, grow, and discover their potential is incredibly rewarding. Whether it’s guiding students through new concepts or encouraging them to believe in themselves, teaching gives me a unique opportunity to make a meaningful impact every day.

However, I believe that teaching—and really, any meaningful work—doesn’t happen in a vacuum. It’s so important to be part of a supportive and collaborative environment. Having coworkers who are willing to lend a hand, offer advice, or simply share a kind word makes all the difference. When the workplace culture encourages teamwork and mutual respect, it creates an atmosphere where everyone can thrive—staff, students, and the broader community alike.

That’s why I truly appreciate being part of a team where people genuinely care about one another. It’s not just about getting through the day or checking off tasks; it’s about lifting each other up and celebrating one another’s successes. It’s about being there when someone needs help or when things get tough. That kind of camaraderie is incredibly valuable, and I don’t take it for granted.

In my experience, when employees feel supported, they are more motivated, more engaged, and more effective in their roles. It builds trust and encourages open communication, which leads to better outcomes all around. I’ve been fortunate to work with individuals who are not only talented and dedicated, but also kind, generous, and always willing to go the extra mile for their colleagues.

So I just want to say thank you—for being that kind of team. Your helpfulness, patience, and positivity haven’t gone unnoticed. Whether it’s offering guidance when I’ve had a question, stepping in to assist without being asked, or simply checking in to see how things are going, your support has made a real difference. It reinforces everything I believe about the value of working in a strong, caring community.

I’m grateful to be in a place where these values are not just talked about, but truly lived out. It inspires me to give my best each day, and to continue growing—not just as a teacher, but as a teammate and a person. I look forward to continuing to build on the positive relationships we’ve created and to working together to make our workplace an even better environment for everyone.

Once again, thank you for being so helpful and supportive. It’s something I truly appreciate, and it makes me all the more excited about the work we do together.

What was your funniest moment?
My funniest moment was with my Hayden students in Francis Parker. I love and miss them so much. The students always had new dances to share so we randomly and spontaneously had a fun dance party once our studies were done!
Pros
  • Good housing
  • Great co-teacher
  • Awesome students
Cons
  • Would be great to have higher salary
  • Sometimes unclear and disorganized management at schools
  • Sometimes favoritism from management in school

I absolutely love it - TEIK

TEIK has been so supportive and helpful. Bradley and the team were sooo helpful in securing an interview and helping me navigate the contract. It was such a fluid process and the online seminars were really informative and definitely helped cement Korea as my go to destination for teaching English. My first contract got cancelled before the start date and Bradley got me in interview with a new school within 24 hours. I couldn’t be happier with their services.

I would absolutely recommend TEIK to anyone who is looking to teach abroad.

What was the most unfamiliar thing you ate?
It’s had to be beef tartar. It isn’t really served in my home country. I ordered it thinking “oh this’ll be a normal beef dish no sweat” boy was I mistaken! Anyway, it was absolutely delicious and I’ve been back sooooo many times!
Pros
  • Support from staff

Teaching in Korea

What an awesome opportunity - so many things to do, so many people to meet, so many cute kids to teach! I found TEIK very easy to communicate with and it was a very smooth transition moving to another country and starting a new job! There are many social and educational jobs to join to meet people and learn Korean. There are many other people here doing the same thing as you so it’s a very welcoming environment to be in. And the food is great! I’ve been placed in Daejeon and it’s a nice slower paced city with beautiful nature, and only an hours journey on the KTX to Seoul.

I'm having a good time!!

I'm really enjoying the new city I'm living in. Honestly, moving somewhere new can be pretty overwhelming, but this place has made it easy to settle in and feel comfortable. It's very accessible, especially for my needs, since I have a dog. Having a dog changes a lot about how you live your day-to-day life, and thankfully, this city is super accommodating. Everything I need is close by—parks, grocery stores, dog-friendly cafes, and even pet shops. I don't have to go out of my way for anything, which takes a lot of stress off my shoulders.

One of the things I appreciate most is how dog-friendly the city is. There are so many parks and walking paths, and it’s completely normal to see dogs everywhere. It's not just that dogs are allowed — it's that they're welcomed. Lots of restaurants have patios where dogs can sit with their owners, and there are even little water bowls set out in front of shops. It's such a nice feeling to be able to include my dog in so many parts of my daily life without any hassle. Seeing him happy and excited during our walks has made me feel even more connected to this new place.

The people here are also incredibly kind. I didn’t realize how much of a difference that would make until I experienced it myself. Whether it’s neighbors saying hello during walks, strangers smiling at me on the street, or someone offering a helping hand when I look lost, it all adds up. Small acts of kindness happen so often here that they don’t even feel surprising anymore—they feel normal. That kind of environment really helps balance out the stressful parts of life, especially because, honestly, teaching can be really stressful sometimes.

Teaching is rewarding, but it definitely has its hard days. There are moments when everything feels overwhelming, and it can be exhausting trying to stay patient, positive, and energetic all the time. It’s not an easy job, but even on the worst days, I still enjoy it. There's something really meaningful about being part of someone’s learning journey, even when it's tough. And being surrounded by kind, supportive people outside of work makes it a lot easier to recharge and keep going.

I'm also really grateful I got the chance to go through this program. It opened the door for me to move here, experience a new culture, meet wonderful people, and build a life that feels like it fits me. If I hadn’t taken this leap, I would have missed out on so many good things, even the small everyday moments that make life better.

Overall, even with the stress and challenges, I'm genuinely happy here. Between the dog-friendly spaces, the accessible city layout, the kind people, and the opportunity to do something meaningful through teaching, I feel like I ended up exactly where I’m supposed to be.

What was the most nerve-racking moment and how did you overcome it?
Losing my wallet and passport. I asked a friend for help and was able to find it at the police station
Pros
  • Fun people
  • Exciting experiences
  • Nice city

  • Tiring
  • Salary could be higher

Wonderful!

TEIK was so helpful in the process of jumpstarting my teaching journey. Definitely recommend if you want to work with people who are straightforward and do their best to meet your needs. I’ve really enjoyed my time in Korea. I feel so lucky to have such a great support system. There have been a lot of struggles I’ve had to overcome, but I’m glad that I’ve had people who I can trust by my side. It’s been so nice having people who can help guide me to become the best teacher that I can be. I wouldn’t trade it for the world!

Teik suji gu

Hello, my name is Enrique, and I am from California. I've only been here for two weeks, but working with Brad has been easy and very helpful. He responds quickly and is always able to send very helpful information and links to help with anything from visas to living in Korea. I would recommend working with Brad since most other recruiters are Korean, and it is harder to communicate. They care mostly about placing you and getting their commission rather than you. Don't be scared of coming just for it!

What is your advice to future travelers on this program?
Just do it, don't live in fear or you won't live at all.
Pros
  • Friendliness
  • Accessibility
