A very good course and good instructors

While I clicked the buy button I have a bit of fear in me about the quality but everything had been working exceptional for the whole course. I do the practical assignments but for me the course main part is the best part with the quiz and thinking activities. The members of the staff are polite and helpful - there is no problem until I get my certificate and I don't have my middle name in the system when I buy the course I am thinking. When I message them, they change my certificate very fast. Everything can be recommended.

If you did this all over again, what's one thing you would change?
I will watch everyone of the videos in completion.

Across the board very good

Having just received my certificates I'm happy to provide a glowing review of this 168 hour TEFL course. To get them out the way, of course there are a couple of omissions or weaknesses like there's no chatroom or forum to meet with other students, which I'm sure would be a simple addition, and there's no option to add on practical teaching experience even outside the program. These things and a couple of other quirks aside, it's a wonderful course.

For some reason they've split it into 3 separate parts, which I couldn't figure out a reason for, and not that it matters, but the 120 hours was by far my favorite and the one that left me super impressed. There's a balance of text and video consistent throughout the lessons, while some have a batch of extra videos that are pretty interesting and others have more review activities. I enjoyed the reviews. It took me less time than what they stated but I suppose if I followed their direction exactly then it may have, though I doubt anyone ever has, does or will! The bottom line is that what they teach is understandable and seemed useful. The units on kids (young learners) were good but I only took that part because it wasn't much more expensive and I figured it'd add some muscle to my job applications. I think most people could get by on the 120 hours unless you actualy need to know about teaching kids specifically. Just my two cents.

Really enjoyed it

The staff of this outfit are brilliant and make a huge difference to everything. I refunded a previous course (eventually) and decided to try this one out without much optimism to be honest, but they changed my opinion within the first email exchange. When someone actually responds quickly and actually fixes your issue it makes a huge difference. I made a mistake typing in my email and they sorted it quick sharp. The course was class (whey!) and more in line with what I was looking for. I enjoyed most units amd liked being able to go at my own pace without annoying time hurdles or having to get something in on time - said goodbye to that at uni thanks. The staff make this brilliant but the course itself more than holds its own. Well done

Close but a few tech snags were annoying

So overall this is a hit. It has very good content that is nicely organized and offers great advice. There are many successes and the price is more than reasonable. However, I found a few errors with quiz inputs that cost me a point here and there as well as a few annoying AI twitches in some videos that just don't make me think they deserve 5 out of 5. Sure, you forgive human error anywhere but when that 2.5% can mean redoing the quiz or passing it becomes a bit annoying. To be fair, they responded all 3 times and fixed the mistakes, citing how they continually update content to prevent cheating, but double check your work and there's no fix to be made, right? Aside from these occasions, I can recommend the course. Staff were profesional and I did learn numerous things. Oh and there was a lesson flow that showed more than one answer also. Expect very good but not perfect.

Worth the effort

It took me 4 attempts to pay for the course because whatever system they use was being properly awkward. Then, I got logged in, clicked through to the first unit but it hadn't registered my progress...until I tried again. So, needless to say (but I'll say it anyway) it wasn't a fun start!! But, I'm glad I stuck with it because it was great from then on. I think after finishing some quizzes you have to wait a minute before starting the next part, whether they've deliberately set it like that I haven't a Scooby Doo, but the course is sound and it helped me feel confident for going to China. I didn't speak to any tutors but they sent me the TEFL diplomas quickly and everything is sound.

I just got my cert!!

I literally just finished and got my cert in my inbox, which is the same as the one on their site except with my name! It feels amazing typing in your details and seeing 'passed' pop up!! I did the shortest one that was 120 hours, found it interesting and boring at the same time because my style is more face to face with a coffee in hand, but I'm not taking away anything from it as it was relevant and had a lot of smart ways to get the teaching across.

I did learn a lot, but I'd also like some online meet ups with other students to discuss what we learned. There are other areas where I'd like to see them develop in the future but I'm also a realist and do get that money only goes so far.

I'm giving this course and it's staff a 10 because they provided a great learning experience with good value and a smooth platform. It's not perfect, but it's very, very good.

My 5 week experience

My TEFL experience was mostly without an issue. There was one day when the videos wouldn't play for a few minutes, but aside from that it went smoothly. I did message the support email but by the time they got back to me 10 minutes later I had already moved on and the streaming started working so I had no need to engage them. If you're interested in the course, it's much denser than you might suspect for the price. It surprised me in a good way, but I still didn't make full use of everything (I may have skipped some of the videos...maybe). They make you wait until one of the last units to cover online class teaching so it's one of the ones I remember best, luckily! I can absolutely recommend this company based on my experience in October and November.

Pros
  • There's a good range of learning content
  • Easy onboarding process

Very nice program

My experience I can share is one of positives. I take maybe the 4 months to finish because I do the course the way I can learn many things. The course is very nice and it gives the motivation to keep going because there are many short review actions. I find that the videos are helpful because I can play them when I do different things like games or cooking. I think that the best thing is how much of the information there is and that I can pass to the next lesson with no wait. In three words I can say the course is cheap, professional, and informative.

Accredited 120 Hour TEFLmasters Course

I spent many hours scrolling through Google and the numerous TEFL course links I found. I went on Perplexity and bounced back to Google with a shortlist. I refused to look at ones over $100 because from what I'd read, it wouldn't really be worth spending that much unless I was willing to fork out for a CELTA. I wasn't! The course I took was fully online, which was exactly what I needed given that I'm currently jobless, and hence the TEFL direction. Staff answered my questions before I started the course and directed me to their commonly asked questions for further information. This immediately made me feel confident that I'd chosen well (another provider took two days to respond with a generic block of text). I enjoyed almost all units that the course offered (grammar being the exception, despite their attempts to sugar-coat it with a bit of dry humor and review activities) and made use of all of their lesson scenarios. In fact, I'd say those were more important to me than the teaching videos because I consider myself to have a deep imagination. Overall, I would not hesitate to recommend this course to anyone looking for a high-end feeling course with thoughtful materials and excellent customer service, who came across as knowledgeable teachers. Very impressed.

ChatGPT recommended them and now I do

I couldn’t be bothered with the hassle of wading through the nonsense on Google or Bing, so I cut out the middleman and went straight to AI. TEFL Masters stood out for both price and reputation, so I just went with them. The setup is great: each lesson includes videos and a textbook displayed on the same page. Below that, there are additional videos, plus some extension and review activities. Later on, these activities became much more useful because they tied everything together and made me think about being in a classroom. It was exactly what I was looking for, no unnecessary practical requirements or needing to be anywhere at a specific time. For me, it was a bargain, though I can’t speak for everyone else, of course.

Pros
  • I found the review activities especially useful
