Grateful for the opportunity!

Last year. my parents and I decided that even though there was an ongoing pandemic, that I would take the opportunity to go to South Korea to do some sight-seeing and also to complete my internship requirement for my graduation. I'm really glad that I hit two bird with one stone because it was such an amazing experience despite all complications. The culture, the food, the people, everything just amazed me. Although it seemed that all was lost, the timing was actually perfect as I needed a small getaway from all the problems going around the world and in my life. I'm really thankful to AIP for allowing and supporting me to get through everything and for making my experience worthwhile.

Great Experience with Remote Intership!

I have applied to AIP and looked for a remote internship for a company in Asia. My internship assistant has provided me 3 companies which located in different countries in Asia. The First is located in Singapore, the second is in Malaysia, and lastly is in Thailand. I would say that all companies gave me the different perspectives of my future career path and they are all great! As I am flexible and willing to learn things, I am so opened to all of them. However, the company in Thailand is what I have chosen because this seems to suit my abilities the most. Moreover, with the given direction that they would not only let me have daily tasks as normal employees, they gave me a chance to have my own project! They let me be free on my personal interest that could be applied to their company and they let me tried working on that continually at the same time I worked on my position. I would say that it was so great to be able to experience the real situation in which it could answer all of my curiosities about working in real life after graduation. It does give me a great experience and thoughts when I was working. The skills I have, what should I improve, and what should I do to prepare myself better in every day in order to be a better person for myself and for the company.
At the moment, the internship ended already, but what I have received from that still be beneficial for me such as I know myself better in a way that what I do like to do for work in specific field and what I am really good at it. My supervisor has mentioned the international phrase of “put the right man on the right job” to me, and I think that it is so true and powerful. Because of being put it the right position, it will allow the person to learn correctly in that field and to be professional in what we like is so happy!
Due to the current situation that it might be tough to have an in-person internship in the country and also my preference to have a remote internship so that it came as my plan. Other skills I think that significant at the moment are the skill of using programs for working online and adapting yourself along with the situation. No one can predict what I will happen, but the way that will help us survive is to be able to work even it is in the normal situation.
I would love to say thank you for AIP that provided me lots of opportunities to choose and provided me all important advices. Also, I would really love to thank you the company and especially my supervisor.
He was not only guide me with the work tasks, but also advises when the real situation in workplace. More than that is an amazing description and invitation to visit Thailand!
THANK YOU!

Remote!

I had to do an internship as part of the final year of my university degree. However, given the ongoing pandemic and the lockdown in the UK I was restricted to only doing a virtual internship. At first, I wasn't too optimistic about it as I would have much preferred to do the internship on site. However, I had no option and went ahead with a remote internship. i heard about AIP from a friend and after checking out reviews online, decided to apply. Needless to say, I was not disappointed. My application manager made the process extremely easy and found me a company I loved within 2 weeks. Although the internship was online, the lessons I learnt in the duration of my internship is something I will take into the future. I would highly recommend AIP to anyone looking to do an internship!

My first time in Korea!

Really glad to have had the opportunity to visit South Korea to pursue an internship and to explore the beauty of the country. At first I was skeptical to even try AIP to help find me an internship but with so many reviews online, I had to try it. I must say that exceeded my expectation. The process itself was very straight-forward and my point of contact was very kind and helpful to help get through a lot of the complications I experienced. All the way leading to my arrival in South Korea, everything went smoothly.

As for my internship in South Korea, I'm glad to have a team that was so open to me. I learned a lot during my time there and I still keep in touch with them.

Huge thanks to AIP for the help and thank you Korea for the love!

Don’t let the pandemic get in the way of having the best experience!

When the pandemic started becoming a major problem, I certainly thought I wouldn’t be able to experience an internship and have nothing to show for on my resume. I am a third-year university student and having an internship is important at this point. Thanks to AIP, all my worries went away. I noticed on their website that they offered remote internships. At first, I admit that I was hesitant and thought that I probably won’t get much from it, but I was so wrong. I got placed at company in Thailand to do business development, and even though I’m all the way here in the United States, I felt as though I was really part of their team. They taught me so much and exposed me to real life work that would definitely look good on my resume and help me advance in my field. I feel like I really made the most out of my 3 months doing remote internships despite the pandemic situation. I am super thankful to the team at AIP for being so helpful throughout the whole process and making this possible for me!

Remote before and remote now!

If someone would tell me that the remote internship will be extremely helpful and I will be able to gain a lot of experience, I would’ve laughed and not believe a word of it. However, due to the pandemic outbreak that happened in 2020 it became not just a norm, but more of a mandatory requirement for future employment overall. My experience with the asia internship program was very good and I am grateful for the help from their end. At the beginning of my application, I was applying for a face-to-face internship in Singapore and everything went well. First, my coordinator scheduled interviews with companies and my placement has been confirmed quite fast and smoothly. The company where my internship placement got confirmed was very friendly and I got all excited about going to Singapore when the COVID19 regulations became less strict. Unfortunately, the 3rd wave has happened, and it was devastating news for me since everything was going so far so good and crashed in a moment. At this point I want to say a big thank you to AIP and my coordinator on how he handled the situation. So once it became clear I was no longer able to travel to Singapore and conduct my internship in person there were two obvious options to completely withdraw from the program or postpone the start date. Since I had to go back to university in 3 months, the postponement would mean waiting a year and withdrawal would mean there will be nothing for me to do during these 3 months. Finally I’ve decided to withdraw from the program and informed AIP about it, and at this point AIP offered me a remote internship program with the same company on a discount. My first thought was quite hesitant because remote work has never been associated in my mind with “real work”, however, I’ve decided to give it a try since alternatives were not attractive at all. Here are my takeaways from it: remote internships are no longer remote internships as you would expect them to be a few years back. The system of communication, operations and collaboration have been developed drastically. All of my colleagues, those who were full time and present in Singapore were working from home as well. Distance work also helped me in developing self discipline. To sum up, I would say that my internship may not have given me cultural and travelling experiences, but I have no regrets in doing it since the amount of skills and practical knowledge I’ve gained is outstanding and in current circumstances that is what I would recommend.

Highly recommended!

I have visited South Korea before but the experiences I had were those of a tourist. I got to experiences all the things that any tourist would get. But with this internship at AIP, my view of Korea was totally different and my perception of a lot of things changed because of it. My internship in Korea taught me a lot and it opened my eyes to a different side of the country I had never experienced before. This time, I was in the country as a true traveler and I took this opportunity to learn more about the culture, while still improving my professional skills. I would do it again!

New experiences in Korea

If you are hesitant on whether you should go to South Korea for an internship, don’t be! Because it was one of the best choices I had made for my future career. It was definitely a challenging experience going to a new country by myself but I gained a lot of new culture experiences and work experiences that has now helped boost up my resume.

I am grateful that I found AIP to help me with my internship and I recommend them highly because they made the process easier for me! They answered all concerns that I had which made me experience more memorable!

It was magnificent

Thailand is a beautiful country. It was my first time visiting the country and it was the best decision I ever made. I would definitely visit again just so that I could experience the beautiful culture. Having my internship in Thailand was also rewarding. I was able to improve my skills and apply them in real life situations. Now I am able to go back to my home country and apply all the knowledge that I have learned during this time. I definitely recommend these internship programs with AIP one hundred percent!

I had an amazing time

While the internship was all online, it did not take away from my experience overall. I was able to form a lot of new connections, I learned many new skills and I know for a fact that I can apply these skills in my future career, especially with the way the world is right now. These skills are valuable and will aid me in my field of interest. I was skeptical of remote internships in the beginning. But because of how advanced technology is now, the experience I had was not negative at all. I definitely recommend this!
