Spain… What an experience it was!

Before anything, let me tell you about my first week. I had to ask the AIP staff to change my accommodation because I couldn’t stand the hood I was in. I mean accommodation was heaven sent, it was relatively close to the public transport and there was a nice local grocery store and neighbors were nice but they littered. I tried my best to not think about them but I just couldn’t couldn’t bear the sight of them. Please don’t come at me in the replies.

So they did that for me. I was moved to a new location. This time it was slightly further than my previous accommodation but I was satisfied with how the room and the surrounding areas looked. The internship itself was an awesome experience. In the marketing department of where I was at, people were so open to my suggestions and ideas. Maybe it was the demographics of the people I was collaborating with, we all got along very well and I was so relieved. What made me fall in love with this is the feeling I get when I see my ideas come to life. It was just a wholesome feeling for me. The office environment was so pristine too so that’s a big plus.

I recommend using AIP service. They were fast to respond to me and the staff were understanding! I am glad that they made my internship experience so special. PS now my family wants to go to Spain haha.

Grazie mille Italia!

I’ve been to Italy many times in the past, I’ve sort of considered it to be my second home because of how familiar everything is. Italy is one of my favourite places and I would one day love to live there. So I thought the best way to get that experience is by doing an internship, that way I get an idea of what its like.

When I arrived in Italy, I felt like I was sort of home again. I love the country so much that I even learned how to speak Italian so I was really excited to use it. I did an engineering internship for 4 months and it was a great experience. My company really involved me so I learned a lot throughout my 4 months. It went so well that my supervisor recommended me to industry experts in Italy!

One of the best parts was of course the cuisine. Being a big foodie, you can imagine how someone like me would go crazy in Italy. So when I came back my parents were a little shocked, to say the least! Definitely put on a few kilos but I’m sure I’m not the only one.

My 4 months in Italy were very insightful and extremely rewarding. Not only did I get an idea of what it is like to work in one of my favourite countries, but the future looks promising. Grazie mille AIP for helping me secure a great place to intern, grazie mille to my wonderful colleagues and supervisor and of course grazie Italia! Ci si vede di nuovo!

A lifelong dream finally completed!

I am absolutely obsessed with South Korea. From binge-watching K-drama to listening to K-pop and Korean being my favourite cuisine, you can only imagine how excited I was by being able to intern in South Korea!

I was so excited that I barely slept on my long-haul flight to Seoul. When I got there my jaw dropped. It felt like I was dreaming as it took me so long to realize that I was actually in South Korea, the place that’s been on top of my bucket list forever!

Heads up guys, if you think Korean food is good in your country, be prepared to be blown away! If you’re coming here on a diet, then forget about it cause Korean food is absolutely fantastic!

I did my internship at a great marketing company in the heart of Seoul and it was fabulous! I had wonderful colleagues as well with who I’ve become really good friends. My office wasn’t even far from my accommodation so if I had to burn the previous night’s dinner and the weather was good I would sometimes walk to work!

I’ve had a truly wonderful time in South Korea and I was absolutely gutted to leave after 6 beautiful months. Thank you, AIP for making my dreams come true of finally being able to go to South Korea. Special shoutout to my work colleagues and I can’t wait to come back in the near future!

A gem of a country!

When people think of Vietnam, a lot of them think about the sad history. Yet, while I am a firm believer in never forgetting the past, we really should celebrate Vietnam for its true beauty!

Vietnam has always intrigued me because of its history, it’s one of the reasons why I wanted to visit it. When I arrived I got distracted by how hectic Ho Chi Minh City was at first but that is not my point. I saw just how friendly and happy people were so that kind of hit me, how such a beautiful country could have such a dark past.

But enough about history, I want to share with all of you my time in Vietnam. So I did a 4 month internship at a Non-profit company and it was one of the best things I’ve ever done. The internship challenged me but it also made me grow so much both professionally and personally. It made me understand the bigger picture and how not everyone is as privileged and lucky.

The internship was extremely rewarding because I felt like I was able to make a difference somehow. The whole 4 months, I truly believe that I have grown a lot and I am so happy that I did it. Thank you, AIP for making this possible and a special thank you to my colleagues who have inspired me to be better!

You won't regret it!

All I have to say is thank you, AIP! If you had quizzed me on Taiwan months ago, I am certain that I would have not been able to provide an answer. As you can see, I was very short-sighted (quite literally and figuratively) and ignorant. This internship had not only helped me gain real-life and practical skills but it had transformed me on a personal level.

Something about being a foreigner in another country did it for me. It was like being transported to another planet far away. In Taiwan, no one knew my name and communication was difficult oftentime but through those hardships, and the truth is that I don’t know if things would have turned out differently had I not gone to Taiwan, but it felt as if my life was given a new meaning; I learned something new about myself: I know very little about everything.

I suppose you could say that doing an internship in Taiwan was an eye opening experience for me. I made a lot of new friends and many good memories. I had been fascinated by things that have never once crossed my mind. I have unlocked another part of myself (and I would go as far as the better part of myself) in Taiwan.

Take my word for it, you will come back from Taiwan better and happier. :)

¡Muchas gracias España!

Last summer I finally managed to travel to Europe for the first time and I had a blast!

Warm weather, sunshine and great food, like what more could I have asked for?

I did an internship in architecture as a requirement for my course and it was honestly the best experience I’ve had. I’ve done other architectural internships in my own country but none of my previous experiences gave me the hands-on experience I managed to get at my host company in Spain!

My internship really allowed me to use all the learnings from my course and apply it to the real world. This really made me want to develop my career further in architecture.

The only thing I wish is that it was a little longer because the 3 months flew by! I made some lifelong friends and have built a great network here.

Special shoutout to AIP and my work colleagues for making my time in Spain absolutely wonderful!

¡Muchas gracias España!

The Best Internship Destination For Business Students

Before embarking on this internship journey abroad, I thought I had some knowledge of what Singapore would be like but I was wayyyyyy off. Choosing to intern in a Business Development industry in Singapore was the most rewarding experience I have ever had. Singapore truly is —the— capital for technology and economic advancement.

The company I had the opportunity to do an internship with was truly special. And to be honest, it didn’t take me long to figure out why (not in a boastful way). Their mixture of western and eastern culture gave me a sense of comfort while giving something new and exciting to learn every day. Ever since my internship ended, I noticed that I have been looking everywhere for similar work environments.

My internship at the company has transformed me into someone who is more culturally conscious, active, and daring to try new things (a complete opposite of who I was before the internship). My time at the company ended too soon but looking back it was an amazing chapter of my life.

I hope this review helps those of you who might be reluctant to give international internships a go yourselves, more or less. I want to sincerely thank AIP for placing me with such an awesome company and for an eye-opening experience abroad. I wouldn’t be where I am today without either of them.

IT WAS SPAIN-TASTIC!

I visited Spain when I was younger but I was too young that I barely remembered it. I only remember parts from what I see in my family photo albums. That’s why when I came across AIP through an Instagram ad, I was intrigued. I knew I had to apply and I am so glad that I did!.

I applied to do an internship in hospitality and tourism because it’s an area I want to develop my career further in and it went fantastic! From the whole application process to touching down in Madrid, it could not have gone any easier!

I managed to work at this fine hotel in downtown Madrid that was just wonderful. I really felt immersed in the local culture. I’ve managed to meet people from all over the world and improved my Spanish too in the process!

Throughout my 4 months here I’ve also managed to travel all across the country from Barcelona to Valencia with the friends that I’ve met here. Don’t get me started on the cuisine because it was heaven and came back home a little heavier than I would have liked.

The only small issue I had was that my metro pass stopped working early on in my internship. It was a bit of a hassle finding the metro office because I didn't really know my way around the city and got lost more often than I’d like to admit. Thankfully, this problem was solved quickly so thank you AIP for so patiently guiding me through the city during the time of distress.

¡Muchas gracias AIP for making everything run smoothly and my host company for giving me the valuable life experience that I desired!

A Memorable Experience

Madrid was more than what I dreamt of. I was so pleased with AIP and their service (and assistance). The city was nice though I must say that their transportation was superior to what I’m used to back home. I really enjoyed exploring Madrid on foot. Though on the first day, I had a rough time navigating around the city and if it wasn’t for AIP, I would’ve had to spend who knows how many more hours wandering around the area….

But thanks to the perfect location of my accommodation, I didn't have to travel long distances to get what I needed. I mean it was right across from the supermarket and the best bocadillo place in town! I’m salivating just thinking about it.

The company I worked with and the people there were extremely friendly and helpful. I experienced a massive cultural shock but they were so patient and understanding. I felt comfortable as an Asian interning in a foreign country and that in my opinion speaks volumes.

I learned a whole lot with my company. And I wish I could relive the moments I had in Spain. Hopefully sooner than later. Thanks AIP!

Take me back to summer 2021!

I don’t even know where to begin. I did an internship with AIP in South Korea and this is going to sound cliche but it was such a life changing experience!

It all started when a friend of mine told me about this internship they did in South Korea the previous summer. She did an internship in Seoul for 4 months and told me all about her experience. We both study business development and she told me that she learned so much during her 4 months. She said that the experience could be used for university credits as well (which is something that is required for our course).

So I did some more research and decided to apply. I landed an interview and the staff were really friendly. I wasn’t sure yet about what I wanted to do but they gave me multiple options as well.

The whole application process went extremely well and before I knew it I was already in South Korea.

When I got to South Korea I was amazed by everything, like I was blown away. I had seen lots of videos on South Korea and this definitely met my expectations.

I did an internship at a journalism company and loved every minute of it. From writing lifestyle articles to travel articles, this experience really allowed me to immerse myself in the local culture. My supervisor was super friendly and helpful and gave me valuable advice that I can take with me.

My accommodation in South Korea was great as well. It was only a 15 min ride from my apartment. Had convenience stores and everything I needed nearby like what more could I ask for. The only problem though is that I did have a few issues with my room such as the ac not working properly but they were so quick with fixing it.

I also met people from all over the world and this is one of the reasons that made this experience so great. It truly was a global experience and I can happily say that I’ve made friends from all over the globe.

I am so grateful for this experience and it’s one I will cherish forever. I met so many great people, really built my professional network and am grateful for the help I received by AIP. Can definitely recommend this experience to anyone. Please take me back to summer 2021!
