MEI was an incredible experience. I did the trip 'Trek Through Europe', where I took history and english. The teachers were all incredible. Learning history where it actually happened furthered my understanding while providing context and depth to each lesson. All the teachers were very knowledgeable and provided support on every assignment if needed. The places we stayed were incredible and I never felt unsafe. Overall, I would highly recommend it to anyone!

This is an incredibly unique experience for any student. Not only do they gain the essential english and physical education skills, but they learn quality life skills that they can take with them in the next steps of their lives (university, college, workplace, etc.). They embark on a challenging journey that is incredibly rewarding -- many students commented on how the educational experience helped them grow and opened their eyes how big the world is, and how much they have to learn and explore throughout their lives.

I would recommend this program to any student. It perfectly embraces the ideology behind "the world as our classroom" and allows youth to begin to discover their identity and grow beyond the classroom walls.

Before coming on this program I had done an MEI trip once before. I knew the daily routine but this trip involved new students, teachers, and of course a new location. I was a little nervous at first, but immediately the staff had us at ease as we sat down and started joking and prospecting about the next 50 days. Friendships were formed almost instantly, and we all settled in relatively effortlessly. We travelled to different places on excursions. The Pare Mountains, a service project to a classroom in Kirua, Safari! and even an overnight adventure to some incredible 'hot springs'.
Personally this trip alleviated a lot of pressures that I had placed on myself at home, and let me tell you, I have never felt happier or more care free than on this trip. I made friends that will definitely last a life time, and have made memories that I will never forget. I am prone to homesickness and whilst on this trip there was not a day that went by that I didn't feel so appreciative and happy to be in Tanzania with a group of people who I now consider another family.

Best summer of my life. ADU Crew will always be in my heart and be my second family. Adventure down under was such a great program with such amazing teachers who made everything fun while in a learning environment. If I had the chance I’d go back as fast as I could for even longer. Best experience you will ever have. Take this chance of a lifetime, meet new people new cultures and just have a blast while getting school credits. Nothing can get better than this. This trip has gave me the influence to become a better person and I am transformed into a better lil man. Trust me it’s not a waste of time, I won’t ever forget my family. ADU forever love you all❤️

In Summer 2016, I traveled with MEI Academy on their International Business Program to New York City, London, Paris, Hong Kong, and Beijing. This journey changed my outlook on life in so many ways. Whether it is the constantly changing environments or immersive academics, MEI Academy provided an experience that has forever changed my life. The professional yet down to earth teachers make the program truly special. You are surrounded by educators and students who have competed to be there. That and so much more is what made MEI Academy the best decision of my life.

Never did I think I would look forward to going to class or go seeking out new opportunities to learn. MEI gave we a desire for knowledge and the techniques to obtain it, the idea that learning doesn’t necessarily have to happen within the confines of a classroom and within the borders of a curriculum. From sitting in Tiananmen Square to biking to Siem Reap, and to scuba diving on the Great Barrier Reef, my Mei adventure was the experience of a lifetime. It allowed me to make many meaningful connections with both passionate teachers and like-minded students, it allowed me to get out of my comfort zone and it shaped me as an individual. I would recommend Mei to anyone looking for the adventure of a lifetime, it is truly a life-changing experience

This trip was amazing! I had three incredible and intelligent teachers who really cared. They taught me more in 35 days than in three years of high school. I have always loved history and MEI gave me a place to learn about it where it actually took place with other people who were equally as interested. More than that I was able to meet great friends who I will have for a lifetime and made memories I will always cherish.

I have previously been on two trips with MEI and I can’t emphasize enough on how amazing the experience was. I wish I could explain to others how life-changing, eye-opening, and adventurous the trip really is but one would just have to experience it for themselves to really understand how spectacular traveling with MEI really is. I’ve traveled many times before I went on MEI but its very different since you really get to learn about the country you are in and experience the culture as well. Not only was my two trips with MEI amazing but it also taught me that school does not have to be a drag because for once I was always excited to attend my next lecture. Unlike regular school, the teachers are passionate about what they teach making each lesson exciting and engaging. Confidence, leadership, happiness, and friendship are just some of the things you’ll find when traveling with MEI, its an experience like no other and I wouldn’t want to have my high school experience any other way. MEI has brought happiness into my life and I highly recommend it to anyone who wants to study abroad.

MEI was truly the experience of a lifetime. From learning about the French Revolution at the Palace of Versaille, to exploring the Swiss Alps and becoming one massive family with the students and teachers, MEI was an experience I will never forget. Throughout my experience, I managed to gain a whole new appreciation for history and literature, an appreciation I would not have gained if I had not attended this trip. Through MEI, I managed to gain a whole new perspective of the world through exploration and learning with fantastic teaching and wonderful peer support. I highly recommend looking into this trip (and others offered by the academy) to individuals eager to become enlightened through exploring and travelling.

This trip provides a truly unique experience that can't be replicated by much else. I was able to make so many meaningful connections with the other students despite not knowing anyone on my trip beforehand. I loved that what we were learning was integrated into the different locations, allowing for most of the projects to be very hands on and unique. My favourite memories definitely come from the activities like snorkeling, zip lining, white water rafting and the cave walk. The trip teaches you a lot about independent living and was I found that it helped me to become more prepared for leaving home for university. It was up to you to manage time, get assignments done and find your way around new locations, which is something I've never really gotten to to to that scale.
Future participants should know that at times the work can be very stressful because you are moving at such a fast pace to cover everything and that you will be immediately thrown outside your comfort zone. Despite that, you'll make friends and learn how to deal with the various stressors on this trip very rapidly.
