Oz Intro

First off, I think it's important to say that yes, it's totally possible to move to Australia alone, without the help of a tour company. It is much cheaper and you're still able to make many friends. That being said, I don't regret participating in Oz Intro whatsoever, as the security, all of the bases and planning being covered, plus the life-long friends I've made (not to mention the ridiculous amount of fun I had!) have made it worth the price.

Oz Intro does a really good job of preparing participants for their time in Australia, whether this is to work, to travel, or a mix of both. On top of this, our leaders have still kept in contact with us (even with it being 9 months later and both of them having moved on from their time with Intro Travel, this says something about the kind of people working there and it not just being about numbers). This week was incredibly fun, with a lot of great group activities and some wild nights out. Adele and Greg were wonderful leaders!

It is important to note that you're going to need a fair bit of spending money to cover the meals not included in the program price, and to cover the (crazy!) cost of alcohol in Sydney. With this, it's good to know that this trip is a bit of a big party for young people. With a party bus to the bar and free drink tickets thrown in here and there, it's good to expect a week long bender (and is probably not a suitable trip if you're looking to relax and quietly explore the city).

I do hate noting this, but as another important tip: at the end of your week, the Intro Travel team is able to plan your travels for the rest of Australia and you can book all excursions and some hostels with them. It's a difficult situation, as you don't want to have plans made before you do this group (as you will meet plenty of new friends and may want to travel with them, as we did), but if you are uninformed about travel in Australia, could end up spending a lot of money and not knowing what you're getting into. Look into the best parts of the East Coast (like the Great Barrier Reef, the Whitsundays, Fraser Island..) and have an idea of the kind of trip you'd like, before just saying "yes" and booking it all through them. ALSO - highly recommend you avoid the Loka bus service and go with Premier or Greyhound, as they are MUCH cheaper with the same level of service.

All in all, I don't regret the group at all. I'm still very close with a lot of my group and look forward to our reunions. Pack some Advil and stay hydrated!

What would you improve about this program?
A more clear description of the partying involved, as I believe this may not have been communicated well to some participants, especially where it was a main component of almost every night of the program.

As well, I think it would be beneficial to have the travel talk on the first or second day, before we're facing an 8-day-long hangover and aren't able to absorb anything. Not only would it be better to have a good understanding of travel in Australia earlier on (to have time to think about your options), but I believe it would be useful to have a better explanation of the travel options available (e.g. being told one bus is quieter and one has a more tight-knit group isn't sufficient explaining - it would be more helpful to know that one bus is the largest bus service in Australia with charge ports and lots of legroom and is $300 less than the "tight-knit and fun" bus, which uses very small, poorly ventilated busses with no legroom).

1 DOLLA MAKE YOU HOLLA

Words can't begin to cover what an absolutely phenomenal experience I've had on this trip. I came away with two of my closest friends and have left with a whole family! The itinery which covers the main highlights in Vietnam was fantastic. In such a small amount of time I was able to experience the true Vietnamese culture and explore some of the most vibrant cities in Vietnam. It was a perfect mix of culture, adventure and of course nightlife. What's Vietnam without a few shots of rice wine hey! Cycling through the stunning Ninh Bihn, kayaking through beautiful Halong Bay, catching a catfish with my bare hands (Bear Grylls eat your heart out) and crawling through war tunnels were just some of the fantastic experiences I encountered. Of course none of this would of been what it was without the fantastic people I met (best friends 4eva) and of course our lovely tour guide Faye. Having been on a few tours in the past with different companies I can honestly say that Faye has been my favourite guide out of everyone. She was friendly, knowledgeable, enthusiastic and made every experience so much fun. Her passion for Vietnam really shone through during the tour. The way in which she became so excited and passionate during every explanation or experience we had, made her a truly amazing tour guide. If you want a true Vietnamese experience I highly urge you to book onto his tour. Intro travel provide such fantastic intineries and it's down to Faye that I have booked another one. Faye you have made this experience unforgettable and I truly hope you are our guide in Sri Lanka! Bring on the next tour. Mot, Hai, Ba, YOOOO!

Vietnam Intro

It's hard to put into words how good this trip has been. There has been beautiful scenery, Amazing people and incredible nights.
Intro travel has obviously put a lot of thought into their trips creating a perfect balance of partying and culture. They've split up the the ways we travel so it's as efficient as possible to tour this beautiful country in the time we had. To tie this whole trip together we have our group leader Faye who was unbelievable, she managed to bring the entire group together as a family pretty much on the first night and keep us together until the last one. She will be out with you having a good time on a night out. She will be haggling down the locals that are maybe a bit too ambitious with their prices. She will be with you when you are ill or down. She will also know when to just leave you to your hangover for a little bit.
The point is you won't regret this trip and you'll be lucky to have Faye with you along the way.

Trip of a lifetime!

As I was travelling solo for the first time I was really nervous about what to expect, had an absolutely amazing time, met some amazing people and definitely made some lifelong friends. Our tour guide, Faye was brilliant, she got to know us all, constantly looked out for us and helped us with anything we needed as well as being really fun and always happy, she was great to be around! Won't ever forget this trip!

Best trip Ever!!!!

A week before coming to Vietnam my partner and I split up. I started to look at different options and came across Vietnam Intro. I was extremely anxious about going travelling alone however even from the initial conversations I had with the call centre staff I knew that Intro travel was a professional and reputable company to travel with and a day Before I was due to travel I booked my trip. The moment I met my tour leader Faye who was so welcoming and friendly I knew that I was going to have a great time. The fact she's Welsh definitely helped too 😜.
Faye's knowledge skills and experience makes her the perfect tour guide. We got to see the real Vietnam and learn so much about the culture as well as having soo many fun nights out! Faye took the time to get to know everyone in the group, build rapport and ensure that everyone's aspirations for the trip were met. The Vietnam Intro tour has completely exceeded my expectations and this is down to Faye. She would consistently go out of her way to make sure everyone is happy, enjoying themselves and their needs are catered for. Having travelled south east Asia on several occasions I have never felt safer that being in Faye's company. What ever the demands of the group, Faye always would go above and beyond to ensure they were met, multi tasking, arranging different transport for those that couldn't bike ride and walking people home if they were tiered on a night out.
Faye has an excellent relationship with all of the locals we met along the way and is adored by all of them which was soo lovely to see as it meant the we had the opportunity to have more interaction.
The accommodation was great and itinerary amazing, it was soo much better than what I originally thought.
The banter was on top form in the group and Faye was definitely the sunshine on our trip especially when she randomly starts singing Vengaboys to make everyone smile.

It is safe to say this is truly the best experience I have ever had. I went to Vietnam lost and broken hearted and left with a group of friends I have made for life, amazing memories and a trip booked with 6 of our tour group to Sri Lanka through Intro Travel. I really really really hope that Faye will be our tour guide!!!
Thank you Faye for making my trip soo special. It wouldn't have been the same without you as our leader. Xxx

A trip I'll never forget

Just finished on the 9 day Thai intro tour! If you are looking to go on a tour that is fun, relaxed and incredibly rewarding, then this tour is certainly for you. From the minute we met up with our tour guide Jay, we knew that it was going to be a 9 days that we'd never forget. From doing the cooking class in Bangkok, to canoeing through the most breath taking landscape that I'd ever seen in the khao sak national park, you are sure to make some memories that you would never forget. All of the planned activities are varied and rewarding and yet you still feel like you have enough free time in between in order to explore and relax. In regards to our tour leader Jay, I couldn't recommend him more. Not only is he incredibly well organised, he is just generally a great bloke to be around. One thing to mention though, his beer pong playing skills are poor. Overall the tour has been a trip that I will never forget and would highly recommend to everyone!

Had a fantastic time! All of the activities were fun and engaging. They were also very well organised.

All of the accommodation was clean and spacious too.

My highlight was the surf lesson and the katamaran trip. The night life was also great!

Tom was a brilliant group leader, and had lots of advice and ideas about further travel.

I have no complaints about this trip. My only wish would be for the trip to be longer, as I had such fun.

Ozintro

Amazing week full of ace activities, great introduction to Australia and have made memories and shared experiences with the rest of the group that will last a life time. Tom Dewsnap the group leader made the week for me. Professional and helped out with any queries or questions, but was also a great laugh and a good mate at the same time, top guy. Would recommend to any one interested in traveling Australia, can be quite easy to feel out of your depth out here but Intro Travel make your first initial week stress free and cover any of the difficult parts like starting up your bank account, onwards travel etc.. extremely grateful to have shared the experience with such amazing amazing people.

Had an amazing time on oz intro! Tom was full of energy, and so enthusiastic about everything. Surfing was sooo much fun, such a great experience! Even if the hike’s nearly killed me I would definitely suggest doing it. If you’re a veggie prepare to eat a lot of veggie burgers though... never want to see one ever again! Met the most amazing bunch of people and can’t wait to see the rest of aus!
