About Program

In this program, students get the option to choose one of the two following universities located in Santiago, Chile. Pontifical Catholic University of Chile and the University of Chile, Santiago. Both are well known institutions of higher learning in Chile. You must have two years of college level Spanish prior to departure because all courses will be offered in Spanish. As a result, there are many opportunities to find internships and do independent research. In addition to the wonderful studying opportunities, you will get to stay in a family home in the beautiful city of Santiago.

Doing the Chile study abroad program through EAP at Berkeley was amazing! Chile overall is just amazing and if I could I would go there in a heartbeat. One of the things that had the most impact on me was my internship in which I had the honor to teach two classes. I also had classes at the University only two days a week which allowed me to explore the city, travel outside of Santiago and meet many people who I now consider my true family.
