Syracuse University Hong Kong Center

Video and Photos

With its mixture of Western and Eastern values, culture, and traditions, Hong Kong is an ideal gateway to China and all of Asia. Syracuse University's Hong Kong program offers you the opportunity to study the political economies, business, and cultures of East Asia at a pivotal moment in the region's history. As Hong Kong continues to move forward as a Special Administrative Region (SAR) of the People's Republic of China, students not only study–but also participate within–a political landscape and marketplace that will be as important to the 21st century as the U.S. was to the 20th.

Internships are built into the SU Hong Kong program, with students devoting the final five weeks of their semester abroad to a full-time internship or research project in a field of their choice.

Yes, I recommend this program

Hong Kong is an amazing place to visit. It is so undermined by many US students, however, it will be one of the greatest places you will visit and meet many new people. It is the perfect combination between east and west. Majority of my friends I have connected with are from Europe and people within the program. Contrary to popular belief, Hong Kong has amazing food, beautiful scenic areas such as the beaches, hiking trails and mountains as well as shopping. It is very convenient to travel to different southeast Asia for a cheap price. I visited 5 other countries when I was in Hong Kong.
