IFSA-Butler: Intensive Chinese Language

As the political, educational, and cultural hub of China, Beijing holds a commanding position as the capital of the world’s most populous country. The city’s 3,000 years of history underpin its significance as the birthplace of modern-day Mandarin language.

The Alliance program center is located on the campus of Beijing Language and Culture University (BLCU). The Intensive Chinese Language program requires 20 hours of full-immersion language instruction per week, a homestay, and a language pledge, so you make rapid gains in your language skills. A week-long field study trip outside of Beijing will allow you to explore China’s social, economic, and geographic diversity.
