Tuition and registration fees for full-time NYU students remain the same during semesters spent at a global location as long as the student is enrolled in 12-18 points. Students from other universities should check with their home school's study abroad office to learn if there is a third-party payment arrangement and/or partnership with NYU. If there is not, visiting students pay NYU College of Arts and Science tuition and fees while studying at an NYU global location.

About Program

A youthful city that attracts artists and intellectuals from all over the globe, Berlin is an exciting center for the arts. At NYU Berlin, you’ll experience the local and international arts scenes while you take courses taught by established Berlin artists and architects. In classes like the Art World Today: Berlin and Beyond and Place–Building–Time: the Architecture of Berlin, you’ll examine the relevance of art in today’s world. You’ll explore Berlin’s culture in class trips to museums, opera houses, theatres, galleries, markets, and festivals. And through NYU Berlin’s internship program, you can gain personal experience working in local arts institutions. Accessibility Support

Students interested in global study at NYU are encouraged to contact the University’s Moses Center for Student Accessibility where an Accessibility Specialist is available to discuss accessibility and accommodations at locations of interest. The Moses Center also has academic liaisons at each global site to help implement these accommodations.

Program Highlights

  • NYU Berlin staff plan trips to nearby cities such as Potsdam, Leipzig, Dresden, Dessau, Wittenberg, and Hamburg.
  • NYU Berlin boasts two academic centers: one, in stylish Prenzlauer Berg, houses classrooms, a computer lab, a student lounge, and group meeting space. The other, in St. Agnes, contains studio space for art classes.
  • Get involved through volunteering opportunities in the local community.
  • Students can also take courses at NYU’s local affiliated institution, Humboldt University.
