I have worked at the International Office of my university in Vietnam, and been exposed to International staff from universities all around the world, yet I have never seen a more dedicated International team than Mary I's! Sandra and Alison know all incoming students by name, promptly support all of our requests, and constantly remind us to turn to them for any issue at all. Finding accommodations in Ireland can be challenging, yet the team would find accommodation for all international students and take the time to tend to our preferences - I have never seen any other university do that. They also support the activities of the International Society, which organises really fun gatherings and creates a close-knit student community. All in all, not for one moment did I feel alone when coming to MIC.

In terms of academic qualities, I can't recommend MIC enough. It's a personalised experience as lecturers would learn about my background to ensure the conversations can benefit me the most. Lectures were engaging with lots of discussions and practice exercises instead of one-way communication. All teachers were knowledgeable, approachable and so supportive. There is a strong focus on EDI, and the lecturers walk the talk. I'm just so grateful this is where I ended up and hope many more students will get to experience the magic of MIC.
