About Program

This semester-long program is designed for you—an artist pursuing a BA or BFA who wants to grow both technically and creatively in the world of physical theatre. Through immersive training in European traditions like Clown and Commedia dell’Arte, you'll challenge your body and voice to reach new levels of expressivity. But the experience goes beyond technique; you'll be encouraged to explore, take risks, and bring your own creative voice into these rich traditions. The program follows a pre-defined track of coursework totaling 15 U.S. credits, ensuring a structured yet expansive learning experience. Set in the inspiring landscape of Villa Godiola, you'll live and work in a close-knit community where daily life with fellow students, teachers, and staff becomes part of the learning process. The sense of connection and mutual support helps you meet the program’s physical demands while transforming vulnerability and mistakes into powerful artistic growth.
