About Program

The Semester in Dance at Accademia dell’Arte is an intensive study-abroad program that blends high-level technical training with creative exploration. Led by choreographer Alessio Trevisani and a faculty of renowned European artists, students engage in contemporary dance, somatic practices, and composition work that fosters experimentation and personal growth. Developed with Professor Karen Dearborn of Muhlenberg College, the 15-credit curriculum integrates Dance with disciplines like Theatre, Philosophy, Music, and Visual Arts. Based at the scenic Villa Godiola in Tuscany, the program offers a collaborative environment where studio work, academic inquiry, and daily life intersect. Students become part of a tight-knit artistic community, developing their craft through dialogue, critique, and shared experience. The program equips dancers with the tools, perspective, and adaptability needed to navigate today’s complex and evolving performance world.
