About Program
Travel to Queretaro, Mexico for 8 weeks during the summer to team up with Mexican students of similar levels and disciplines. Students will be assigned to small intermixed groups of 4 to conduct practical engineering projects under the advice of an industrial liaison and faculty members from WVU and other Mexican universities. During the program, students will work full time in an assigned industrial site developing solutions to meaningful projects for which students will gain 6 credits, including MAE471 Engineering Design Principles & MAE472 Engineering Systems Design. Produce weekly reports and presentations on the projects and at the end deliver a professional final presentation, report, and poster of your findings/results. In addition to the engineering activity, students will be taught a GEC course equivalent to WVU’s FCLT260-Mexican Cultures. Be hosted by local families with transportation provided to essential activities. End with a long weekend at the beach prior to return.
