Become a skilled multimedia storyteller as you create engaging traditional or digital messages in an intercultural context.

This program provides you with the hands-on experience you need to become a skilled multimedia storyteller. Learn to research, produce, and incorporate text, audio, graphics, and other imagery to create engaging traditional or digital messages in an intercultural context. Expand your multimedia abilities and use them to enhance your intercultural communication skills and prepare for an international career, whether you are majoring in journalism and media studies, social sciences or humanities, math, or technology.

  • Explore the sights, sounds, and culture of Lisbon through guided creative assignments.
  • Complete visual, audio, textual, and multimedia projects in an intercultural environment.
  • Hone your production and editorial skills under the guidance of faculty and media professionals.
  • Design and implement a creative independent multimedia project on a critical global issue under the guidance of a professional content creator, artist, or researcher.
  • Attend performances and special exhibits during visits to Seville, Spain and Braga, in the north of Portugal.

Scholarships

SIT Robert Kantor Memorial Scholarship

Each year one student will be granted $10,000 in scholarship aid to study abroad with a SIT program. Funded by individual donors and foundations, the requirements are tight: seeking first-generation college students who've never traveled abroad before, currently attend an HBCU, and demonstrate strong financial need.
