About Program

Study abroad in Seville with Sweet Briar College! Since 1983, JYS in SEVILLE (Sweet Briar College) has been sending students from many colleges and universities to Spain for a Spanish language immersion study abroad experience. The program focuses on academics and experiential learning, providing opportunities and support for students to use the Spanish language consistently both in and out of the classroom. Students may intern, volunteer, participate in extra-curricular activities, live with a host family and take courses both through JYS and at the Universidad de Sevilla. Seville is a vibrant city with a rich history and culture and is a wonderful setting to study abroad. JYS organizes excursions and field trips around Andalusia and Spain throughout the semester.
